Even for the time pass, the bhaktas are performing kaimkatyam in your temple. Even the fathers and fore fathers have performed similar kaimkaryams in your temple. Despite hearing the screaming of bhagavathas, you don’t want to see us, and are completely enjoying the bhogam at Thiruppulingudi. There was a great scholar called Thirukkanmangai Andan. He left everything and focused only on performing service at Thirukkanamangai temple. That too, for his stature, he did not do any Goshti kaimkaryam, but doing physical services like cleaning the temple, maintaining the nandavanam etc.. One of his friends sarcastically asked Thirukkannamagai Andan, If you really feel that Perumal is everything, why do you do all these services, what is it that you expect out of these? For which the Mahan responded as below: He showed the place where the grass was uneven, and the place were it was leveled and asked his friend to decide on how it looks, and what difference this makes? The message is not actually the benefits of service, which no SriVaishnavite will look for, but actually protect and maintain the divine places where Azhwars have done mangalasasanam.
