Having approached Sri Nappinnai pirATTi who tries to get up to welcome these maidens, Sri KrshNA embraces her just to stop her from welcoming them. Why?What are His intentions? Well. He wants to be the one to go towards them first. They had apprached her and Him.Now both of them want to go forward to shower mercy.

Sri vibhishanAzvAn surrendered unto Lord after approaching pirATTi. Sri Thiruvadi approached pirATTi and came out in flying colours.

It is observed that we have to surrender unto 'Her and Him' and not 'Her' or 'Him'. SurpanakA approached only Him and had to pay the penalty.

So did ravAnA who had to face the highest punishment.

When approached in this fashion, both of them go extra steps to take care of us. She tells 'who has not committed sins?

He says " en adiyAr idhu seyyar;seidhAlum nanRu seidhAr'

The togethreness of the Divine couple is the desired state.

Extracts from ARayirappadi.

The divine couple show mercy on the devotees with great zeal. This is the greatness of taking refuge in the Divine couple.

Moderator Note: Adiyars can enjoy the following mentioned upanyasam in the following link http://www.parasarabhattar.org/upanyasam/drmav.WMA

SrI:

Dear svami,

This piece brings back the fond memories of SrI. U.vE. MAV svami's upanyasam on this pAsuram (delivered during the release of Kanchi svami's 'nithyanusandanam' book last year).

aDiyEn requests Smt. Sumithra to share that piece of upanyasam with all Srivaishnavas, with the kind permission of Dr.MAV svami.
