So what to do after taking samAsrayanam? We should educate ourself in bhagavat/bhagavata/acharya vishayam and practice Srivaishnavism to the extent possible. Everyday after we get up in the morning and take bath we have to show our gratefulness to the lineage of acharyas in our guru parampara. So we have to recite their thaniyans and meditate on the gems (rahasya trayam) given by them to us. " japthavyam guru paramparaiyum dvayamum " says Swamy Pillailokacharya. After that we have do thiruvaradhanam to perumal (Just like waking up our child, bathing and feeding it) we have to do upacharams to our aththu perumal. Complete with sattrumarai – doing mangalasasanams to all the divya desa emperumans, azhvars, acharyas ending with praying for the welfare of our own acharya who have put us into this right track. Then proceed with our own activities. In the day whenever we get time we can listen to some lectures or learn some slokas/paasurams to enjoy and get enlightened. In holidays, whenever possible we can visit divyadesam, Azhvar/acharya abhimana stalams with our family and friends. Keep in touch with bhagavatas, discuss about bhagavat/bhagavata/acharya vishayams. Contribute some part of our earnings to perumal and acharya. Train our kids also to follow the wonderful path of Srivaishnava sampradayam. Live with ultimate faith in perumal and acharya.
