Philosophical Differrences. (message 24 & the pdf file)

sri Devarajan Swamin: Please accept adiyEn's humble pranams.

 

I went through the pdf file that you posted on msg 24 this morning and was a bit

shocked,

as the Thenkalai View is very incorrect in that document.

 

We are sure the your note is not intentional, and hence writing this:

 

1. You had mentioned ThenAcharyas negate the need for Prapatti,

this is wrong.

 

ThenAcharya Sampradaya also only Prapatti

(For Thenacharya it happens during the time of Samashreyanam)

 

But we (thenacharyas) say that it is HIS nirhetuka Kripa that allows us to even

take to a qulaified Achryan and perform prapatti.

So both do prapatti: Thanacharya along with Samashreyanam.

and the Deiska Sampradyam later or before samashreyanam.

 

ThenAcharya: It is by Lord's divine grace that we even do this so its not our

doing.

Vadakala: It is a concious effort on the Jiva's part.

2: Re: Thayar being Jeeva or Paramathma.

Dear Devotee friends:

Previous 2 generations has seen a few scholars spend their life (40 or so years)

towards this point (Is there one Supreme Soul, or Two Supreme Souls)

and to prove one is better than the other.

 

These great Scholarship could have been used better, Thenkalais still hold they

are

Real Vaishnavas & Vadakalais do the same.

 

The docrtinal differrences could be looked at to understand the differrences,

 

Please forgive adiyen for posting what was in my heart, in the sense of doing

justice in this

Internet world, we have to be careful of Mis-information being spread.

 

The other day we read a article that hinted that greatness of Swami desikan was

in the

Phala struti (Imagine how Swami Desikan would feel if he come and read that

article now)

Bring down the great Desika's works to Phalans. What a degradation of a great

Acharya.

 

Let us try to be truthful to purvacharyas and the message handed down by Lord to

Sri.

Sri to........ To Ramanuja

 

If we write things on our own, as many of the devotees are doing these days,

we will err in the message (as we are human and our understanding is limited)

 

So let us not write anything on our (Unless of course you feel you have become

like Swami (refers to Ramanuja) or Azhwar (refers to Nammazhwar).

 

Even this line above, is not what adiyEn says it is said by many purvacharyas:

Nampillai, and then later by Mamunigal's works on this know to adiyEN.
