Dear bhaktas,

 

This is to share a very sad news with you all.

SrI U.Ve. PuriSai NaDAdUr " SrI-bhAshya SimhAsanam "

KRushNamAchArya SwAmi, popularly known as

PuriSai SwAmi attained AchArya thiruvaDi

this morning (Thu,6:30 am IST). SwAmi had thirumEni

aSaktai primarily due to Wheezing problem.

 

PuriSai SwAmi had the bhAgyam of being the dowhitra

of SrImad In~jimETTu Azhagiyasi~ngar (42nd paTTam)

and performed kAlakshEpam under this Azhagiyasi~ngar

and SrImad DEvanArviLAgam Azhagiyasi~ngar (43rd paTTam)

as well. SwAmi, an aasthAna vidvAn of SrI AhObila Muth

was the editor of SrI NRusimha priyA for many decades.

SwAmi's major career was in being the " Agent " (Administrator)

of thiru-evvuL divya-dESa temple belonging to SrI AhObila

Muth.

 

SwAmi has blessed us with expositions in tamizh on

Bramha SUtras based upon SrI-BhAshyam and its commentaries

(but for first adhyAyam after mahApUrvapuksham, which is

unfortunately not yet completed). SwAmi's other great

contribution is his tamizh prose version of the entire

MahAbhArata (which includes Bhagavad GItA section -

explanations of entire GItA BhAshyam by Bhagavad RAmAnuja)

serialized through SrI Nrusimha PriyA. SwAmi's other articles

have been published as " Sat-upadESam " series in Tamizh.

 

SwAmi has been rendering kAlakshEpams in grantha

chatushTayam for many years and many vidvAns and loukikas

have attained immense benifit.

 

SwAmi was a recipient of the President's award for scholarship

and service to Sanskrit and titles like SrI-bhAshya sArAmRuta-

varshi, SrI VaishNava simham ( by NammAzhvAr Foundation).

 

SwAmi's SatAbhishEkam was celebrated in a very grand manner

at the sElayUr complex of SrI Ahobila Muth during aavaNi,chitrai

(10th Sep 2002). The completed version of SwAmi's

SatAbhishEkam malar (soouvenir) was distributed recently

(last sunday)through a small function at SwAmi's thirumALigai.

It is an excellent souvenir with around 87 articles by various

vidvAns and abhimAnis, apart from various other informations

- A must collection for SrI VaishNavas.

 

Though SwAmi will be in antamil pErinbam (infinite ecstacy)

alongwith nityas and muktas while serving Divya-Dampati at

SrI VaikuNTham, its a great loss for us for having lost a great

AchArya in guiding many SrI VaishNavas.

 

SwAmi has made immense contribution to our sampradAyam

not only through his jn~Anam, but also by his anushThAnam

and attma-guNam - A life dedicated in service to our

sampradAyam. SwAmi's contribution doesn't end here - It

shall continue for ever through his shshyAs and abhimAnis, and

his SrI-SUktIs.
