Guest guest
Sri: Dear SrI RanganAtha BhakthAs : In our SrI VaishNavite tradition , Swamy NammAzhwAr is recognized as the Thiruvadi of SrI Ranga NaarAyaNan. Swamy Desikan has blessed us with a magnificent SrI Sookthi named " SrI RanganAtha PaadhukA Sahasram " , which consists of 1008 slOkams housed in 32 chapters . Three years back , SrI MuraLi Rangaswamy and myself started a Kaimkaryam to disseminate the glories of this grand SrI Sookthi of Swamy Desikan dealing with many important SrI VaishNavite Doctrines . We have now reached the stage of the concluding verse (660th verse )of the 18th chapter (MukthA Paddhathi) celebrating the glories of the Pearls enmeshed in the Dhivya MaNi Paadhukais of the Lord of SrIrangam. The posting related to that 660th slOkam is attached. These postings have the transliterated slOkam and the meaning given by Dr.V.N.VedAntha Desikan of Oppiliappan Sannidhi on the top as assembled by SrIman MuraLi Rangaswamy . adiyEn adds the intrepretations/anubhavams of SrImad Andavan of PeriyAsramam and Vaikunta Vaasi UtthamUr Swamy as well as additional comments on the key sanskrit passages of the slOkam of the day as Specail notes . Both SrI Rangaswamy and adiyEn thought that more BhakthAs from the Oppiliappan , Saranagathy and Desika SampradhAyam net might wish to become more familiar with the great SrI VaishNavite doctrines housed in the slOkams of SrI RanganAtha PaadhukA Sahasram .Hence , we will share the future postings of SrI Ranganatha PaadhukA Sahasram in the above three lists. The names of the paddhathis to be covered with the number of Paasurams in each of the remaing paddhathis in paranthesis are as follows : 19) Marataka Paddhathi ( 20) 20) Indhraneela Paddhathi ( 30) 21) Bhimbha-Pratibhimba Paddhathi(20) 22) Kaanchana Paddhathi (20) 23) sEsha Paddhathi (10) 24) Dhvandhva Paddhathi(20) 25) SannivEsa Paddhathi(20) 26) YanthrikA Paddhathi(10) 27) rEkhA Paddhathi (10) 28) SubhAshitha Paddhathi (10) 29) PrakeerNa Paddhathi (80) 30) Chithra Paddhathi (40) 31) NirvEda Paddhathi (20) 32) Phala Paddhathi (38) WE USUALLY COVER ONE SLOKAM PER DAY DUIRNG THE WEEK DAYS. TRUST YOU WILL FIND THEM ENJOYABLE TO REMIND YOU OF THE LORD OF SRIRANGAM AS YOU READ THE DAY'S POSTING. We have to cover 347 more slOkams to cover to reach the Kaimkarya PrApthi stage . Lord RanganAthA's blessings will help us reach that goal during the next 70 weeks . The Introduction to SrI RanganAtha PaadhukA Sahasram and the previous postings as well as the image of the Yanthram drawn by Swamy Desikan's own hand are archived in the special home pages for this Sahasram: http://swamydesika.tripod.com/padhuka/index1.htm##top The above home pages have been created with devotion by SrIman Achutharaman of Bangalore .
