Dear most respected members :

 

The same Purva acharyas and elders have also stressed that this gyanam

flowers naturally only with the help of Karmaanushtanams and hence the

supreme importance of Sandhyavandanam. It is only by constant meditation

on the Gayathri and other namaas enshirned in the Sandhya process that

vivekam and gyanam spontaneously bursts forth and starts manifesting in

various aspect of our daily material and spiritual lives.

 

Mere acquisition of gynam without physical, mental, spiritual and devouted

demonstrated practices/acts/rituals/rites

will have the tendency of pursuing knowledge for its sake this is

ultimately likely to delude us in the long run. Hence the Purvaacharyas

have stressed that at 7 before the boy's tender mind gets filled with

knowledge of the senses and material world, the Gayathri has to be

installed into the boy's mind so that he BLINDLY performs the karma part

i.e physical/external act of getting up at the right time, and chanting and

doing the Sandhya. A loss of even 2 years is considered quite distastrous

for the boy's mental state.

Dear Moderators of the lists,

 

To clarify:

The concept of some brand name shoe was not at all made by me.

Yes. I am also not comfortable with that shoe comparison.

My concern was primarily about the comparison of AzwArs with others

and quoting VEdAnta-viruddha darSanams and stressing

sandyA vandanam. First of all, the SandyA vandanam, which

is a must is a form of worshiping SrIman nArAyaNan.

The name sandyA itself denotes SrIman nArAyaNan. This has been explained

in our pUrvAchArya Aahnika grantams. To be very clear, let me

state that I am NOT condemning other darSanams. But the comparisons

made are not appropriate. Further, mere karmAnushTAnam without

jgnyAnam is debatable. The dharma is known only through SAstra

and not by mere-anumAnam. SandyA vandanam is not a remote anushTAnam.
