Dear Swamy Desika BhakthAs:

 

Today is a Subah Dinam .Today, we will start together

to study the most sacred Paasurams of Swamy Desikan's

Tamil Prabhandhams. The highest quality of Tamil poetry ,

the deep VaishNavite doctrines housed in these paasurams

are intermingled in them. To learn about them is a rare

SoubhAgyam .

 

The entire Desika Prabhandham has been transliterated by

Thirukkudanathai SrIman Sampath Rengarajan and

SrIman ParthasArathy Dileepan few years back . This text

prepared by them has been housed by SrIman Venkat Raghavan

in his comprehensive archives (SrI Vaishnavam.com) . The URL is:

SrIman Venkat Raghavan of Bahrain has provided brief introductions

to each of the Desika Prabhandhams . He has also broken down

the compound words of the Prabhandham to individual units for

easy reading . Besides the Tamil Text , Romanized, Sanskrit, Kannada ,

Telegu and MalayALam versions of the text have also been added by

SrI Venkat Raghavan.

Swamy Desikan in His magnificent RathnAngi with 12 Urdhva PuNDrams ,

brilliant gem-studded crown , Sacred thread and rathna Kavacham .

This is the RathnAngi presented some 35 years ago by Thirukkudanthai

HH SrImath Andavan. If one is fortunate to be at ThiruvahIndhrapuram on

PurattAsi SravaNam day ( October 5 this year) , You would be blessed with

the darsanam of Swamy Desikan adorning this RathnAngi and hear all

SrI Sookthis of Swamy Desikan as He enjoys His Thirunakshathram celebrations.

 

Such a RathnAngi is now being prepared for Swamy Desikan's dear Lord ,

SrI DevanAthan.

(405) Paasurams of Desika Prabhandham .
