At the outset , it is not my intention to embarass you with this sincere

note of appreciation for your most recent article , "The Crown Jewels".

This essay is indeed a crown jewel. Many people will be happy to have

presented one such article . In your case , the thoughts flow like Ponni

at TalaikkAvEri . Our prayers are for the Lord to keep this nourishing flow

continue for years to come . I am sure my sentiments are shared by

one and all , who are prieveleged to read your essays on SrI SampradhAyam.

 

Your erudite postings are welcomed and enjoyed as gourmet items around

the globe . You are a sishyan of whom your AchAryan would be proud of

for the tireless kaimakryams that you are performing to spread the tenets

of our siddhAntham .The VaishNava community owes a great deal of debt

for your scholarly , pertinent , copious and profound essays that flow touching

both the shores of VedAntham. Thank you and thank you very much .

 

Your reference to the ongoing RathnAngi Kaimkaryam is very much appreciated

by all the participants of this major Kaimkaryam. Some thirty Six years ago ,

the illustrious seer , Vaikunta Vaasi HH Thirukkudanthai Andavan presented

the RathnAngi for our AchArya Saarvabhouman , Swamy Desikan at

Thiruvaheendhrapuram .

 

Today , the devotees are in the middle of preparing the Rathna Kavacham ( angi) for

the DEVATHAA SAARAVBHOUMAN to be presented by THE ACHAARYA SAARVA

BHOUMAN .

 

The original estimates for constructing the kavacham has been far exceeded

with today's price of gold and the PadhmarAgha gem stones . We are all

struggling to arrive at the finish line for this Kaimkaryam during the VasanthOthsavam

for Lord DEvanAtha in May-June. We are short of funds Please join and help .

6. “angi” or a gem or pearl-studded coat, as is worn by Sri Ranganatha on the Vaikuntta EkAdasi day, known variously as “Mutthangi”, “VajrAngi” etc. It is such an angi made of precious stones, a “RatnAngi” that Sri DeivanAyakan of Tiruvaheendrapuram wishes to wear and for which strenuous efforts are under way by eminent bhAgavatAs, which deserve all our material and moral support.

 

An important difference between our wearing ornaments and the Lord doing so, is that while in our case it is we who derive the benefit of the adornments, through enhanced looks, etc., in the Lord’s case, it is the ornaments who attain brilliance and magnificence through association with the Lord’s tirumEni, says Swami Desikan—“Bhoosha Ayudhai: adhigatam nija kAnti hEtO:”

He likes most garlands of verses of praise which don’t wilt, which He also considers better than a PeetAmbaram—“ennudaya vAsakam sei mAlayE, vAn pattAdayum akhdE”.
