Dearest Srivaishnavas,

Though You did all work still You let all Devas claim

that they only churned the ocean and got the nectar.

AzhwAr now enjoys his Sowseelyam of Lord Rama during

His avathAram.

[AzhwAr addressed the Lord as Kesaavaa! ¡V The chief

of BrahmA and Rudraa! He is somewhere in Paramapdham

or farthest PaaRkadal. He is not going to listen to

us; nor will be able to listen what He answers; hence

let us address the same Lord who is here right front

of us- Lord Sri RanganAthan and calls lovingly

AranganE..]

Oh Lord Sri RanganAthA! My Father! The one who

joyously had the moneys as His army! When devas prayed

to You to help them, You used the huge Vaasuki snake

as the churning rope making the oceanic waters go

topsy turvy and get stirred heavily; the trees above

the manthara mountain fall to destruction; the earth

gets shaken; You alone did all such grandest deeds to

churn the ocean and all those celestial bodies ¡V

Devaas- stood there looking and wondered with awe; and

what did they do- Tell me elaborately. This is the

grandest vilakshaNam of sowlseelyam in You [in letting

them celebrate the victory as if they themselves

achieved it].

Oh Rangaa! You are the One who rode on GarudA and

brought the huge manthara mountain to place the same

on the ocean; You are the One who tied the huge

poisonous Vaasuki snake around the mountain. You

granted strength to mountain to float on the ocean and

the snake to hold the mountain tight; Can those devas

be able to churn holding that snake around that huge

mountain! Never. Only You could do. When the mountain

started shaking and wobbling, You took KoormAavathAram

and held the mountain on Your back taking such a huge

Tortoise form. You held the top of mountain so that it

does not get tilted; You only churned all and brought

the nectar out and distributed to them. But who gets

the name? It Is Dedavs and asuRAs who curned is the

history. They get the fame. Why? It is all due to your

unbounded grace and nothing else.

Rama avathAram is a grand example. You destroyed 14000

raakshasas within no time and won effortlessly. Where

were the mokneys that have now come to help you? You

wanted to glorify them and graciously accepted them to

be Your army. ¡§anguLyagrENa dhaanya¡K [when Sugreevan

objected to vibhEsshana sarangathi and said then he

would not be able to help Rama] You mentioned! hEy!

Monkey chief! None is required. None at all. I alone

with my finger nails can destroy anything and

everything (remembering his previous avatHAram-

Narasimhan); You can even go back to KishkinthA; Or if

you wish go and join the opposite camp and I can

destroy even Your grup along eith the opposite camp.

Further You blessed them to serve You as the army

during the battle; though You were a king; the Supreme

Lord; greatest warrior; still You accepted them

inspite of them being monkeys. What a sowlseelyam.

eLimai! Neermai. You accept anyone if he comes to You.

Please tell me specially about this grandest guNA of

Yours! ¡V says AzhwAr
