Guest guest
SrI: SrImathE Gopaladesika mahadesikaya namah: Dearest Srivaishnavas, More than the compassion on seven worlds, for a asura sis (child of an asurA), the Lord had tremendous vaathsalyam- and without the prayer or appeal by the child, the Lord out of His grace appeared to protect and save the child from the torture from his enemies. He took Parama adhbutha form -NrusimhA. AzhwAr enjoys and immerses himself in the athyAscharya [most wonderful] form here. vaaniRaththor seeyamaay vaLaintha vaaLeyiRRavan, OOni Raththukirththalam azhuththinaay! ulaayaseer, naalniRaththa vEDhanaavar nallayOginaal vaNangu paal niRak kadal kidantha paRpanaabhan allaiyE? (23) The greandest colour- red whitish colour (vaaL niRatthu) in unparalleled Nrusimha roopam- the One who pressed the sharp nails on the fleshy, muscular strong chest of Hiranyakasipu asurA- [who has bent curvy, teeth]! You are the Supreme Lord- The Lord with lotus in his navel [from which arises Chathur kumha BrahmA] reclining on grand milky ocean; the Lord who is surrendered to [by adhereing to Prapatti or Bhakti Yogam] and is worhsipped with praises by those who have sacred most famous four Vedas in their tongues. Vaan nIratthu- Vaal +niRam- whitish colouerd; The cloud hued dark coloured Lord is now reddish whitish L:ion form Lord Nrsimhan to kook that most wonderful, mosr ferocious avathAram with Lion face and Human body; Also it can be vaan + niRam= meaning: sky (deep dark blue) colouerd Lord. Naal niRattha Veda naavar- udAttha, anudhAttha, swaritha, praSaya- four swaraas are found in Vedas; Or it can be rk, yajur, saamam and atharvaNam- four types of Vedas- called as Naal niRam. Or it can ne the duty of rtviks [the people who help the doer of yaagam- yajamaanan]- namely, hOthA, adhvaryu, udhgAthA and brahmA. It can be: vidhi, nishEdham, artthavaadham and manthram. OR manthram, brAhmaNam, AraNyakam, and Upanishad. It can also be Dharma, arttha, kaama and mOksham- four purushaartthams. ArthO jignAsrarThArThO jnAnI Cha. It may mean many other combinations- says Sri UttamUr Swamy. Thus, the Lord is enjoyed and addressed by AzhwAr as the one who is greatest vaathsalyam on every one of His devotees and grants such grand fruits (purushaartthams) to all His aasrithars. yOginAl- yOgu- Yogam- nalla yOgu- says AzhwAr; Good and best Yogam- meaning: Bhakti or Prapatti Yogam- without considering any dEvathAntharam (other demi gods as the Goal and the way) and hence Good Yogam (way) Thus HiraNyAkasipu samhAram- killing of the asurA- is the rakshanam of Vedas and Vedic truths as well as rakshanam (protection) of the Vedic scholars. Thus the first three lines of the verse is the adjective of the fourth line- Padmanabhan that the Lord is.
