Guest guest
SrI: SrImathE Gopaladesika mahadesikaya namah: Dearest Srivaishnavas, Last verse was the connection to bull fight. Now is the Kamsa vadham. venjinattha vEzha veN maruppositthu uruththamaa kamsanaik kadinthumaN aLandhu koNda kaalanE, vanchanatthu vandhapEycchi aavipaaluL vaanginaay, anchanaththa vaNNanaaya aadhidhEvan allaiyE? (43) Oh AdhidhEvaa! Primordial Chief! The One who measured the earth with Your lotus Feet! The One who sucked the life along with the milk from Poothanai coming in guise of a mother with an intent to kill; You broke the strong white tusker of huge elephant kuvalayaapeetam and entered into the palace of Kamsa [who is also like another strong elephant] and killed him too. The dark hued Lord! You are the Parathvam. The word kadnidhu should not be related to koNda kaalanE! As it does not go well with the context of VaamanaavathAram. Only during Kamsa vadham, he killed (kadindhu). Hence kadindhu should be read with anjanattha vaNNan Aya.. The one who Killed Kamsan – dark hued (collyrium like) AdhidEvan. AdhidEvan allaiyE- When he killed Poothanai, the SakatAsuran, VathsAsura and others, His Supreme Lordship was not declared; and when He killed Kamsa, He established His Parathvam- How? Because, the ethereal voice [asareeri] had declared during Devaki marriage that Devaki Puthran – MahAvishNu - would kill Kamsa (the brother of Devaki). Thus everyone could realize His Parathvam and only then, Kutti KaNNan started showing off His four hands (till then He had hidden the extra two hands heeding to the request of Devaki). Kannan went in and after killing the wrestlers Chanooran, mushtikan, Kuta, Sala, Tosala who had assembled there at Kamsa’a place when Kamsa arrived and took his seat on a raised platform. Kannan and Balaram rejoiced joyfully when they killed the wrestlers. The crowd cheered and said, Well done. Kamsa was angered and he ordered his men to catch KaNNan and put him in chains. Bu before Kamsa had even finished his orders, KaNNan jupned onto his platform and Kamsan drew his srwod to kill KaNNan. Kannan caught hold of Kamsan by his hair from which the crown cam tumbling down. He swung him round and threw him down into the arena, still and dead. Kamsan’s eight brothers started attacking KaNNan and soon they were even overpowered and killed. Kannan Balaram the rushed to see Vasudeva and Devaki and prostrated at their feet. Kannan also released Ugrasenar who was languishing in the prison where he had been put by his own son, Kamsan as Kamsan was impatient to get onto the throne.
