Oh cowherd GopAlA! The most merciful one residing on

Your own willingly for Asrithars’ sake at

Thirukkudanthai- where long well grown sambha fields;

cool paddy fields; large ponds; betel ;leaves gardens;

large cool flower gardens are in abundance along with

the most beautiful homes. The most valorous Lord who

sent the heads of KaalanEmi asuran [in thaarakaasura

yuddham], thandhavakran, Muran (associate of

Narakasura) et al roll and them straight to YamalOka.

 

Usually AzhwAr enjoys the vibhavam in first two lines

and the second two lines on dhivya desam. In this

verse, it is the other way. AzhwAr perhaps is more

attracted to Thirukkudanthai.
