SrImathE Gopaladesika mahadesikaya namah:

Dearest Srivaishnavas,

With the spears, the sharp maces, swords, and bag full

of strong weapons, - Rudran and his family came to

fight against kannan (in support of bANAsurA) and want

back running away losing to KaNNan – and scattered

everywhere (in the sky)- entering into their cosy,

comfortable homes. In spite of their losing to KaNNan,

bANAsura had proudly (overestimating his own powers-

with 1000 strong shoulders granted to him by Rudran)

come to fight against KaNNan. Those thousand shoulders

were effortlessly cut by the strongest and most

resplendent divine discuss (chakrAyudha) of KaNNan.

Even Rudra’s group would never have forgotten. (go an

ask them).

The army chief of Devas is Subramanya- Rudra’s son.

His brother, and the Fire (agni) – all of them came

along with Rudran in support of bANAsuran, when

bANAsura had picked up a fight with KaNNan (in

Anirudhhan and Usha’s episode- read 53rd verse).

Rudran et al could not face KaNNan’s valour and went

back running to their respective places losing heavily

to KaNNan. Even then, maddened with a false hope that

he would win (in spite of Rudran and others losing to

KaNNan) came back proudly with his strong 1000

shoulders. Thus, he himself had realized their

dhourbalyam (of their weakness). Why are you all still

praying to those weak demi gods?

Ask them straight. You may think these are all

concocted stories and refuse to believe. Ask them and

you will hear the truth about the unparalleled Lord

KaNNan. Rudran later came back and prayed to KaNNan

seeking forgiveness and take pity on his devotee

bANAsuran and spare his life.

So adhaRindhaRindhu OduminE… says NammAzhwAr. Realize

their respective glories and get to know of His

Parathvam.

Regards

Namo Narayana
