SRI:

SrImathE Gopaladesika mahadesikaya namah:

Dearest Srivaishnavas

Thus AzhwAr advised quoting the past incident and also

quoting from vedic truths, that Sriya: Pathi alone is

the Primordial Chief and is unparalleled Supreme

Lordship above Rudran, et al. They (Rudra et al) are

Jeevans are born due to Karma in their respective

positions and next janmam may not be the same exalted

state for them. Always, the complete One- Purest One-

is Sriman Narayanan- emperumAn. He takes various

avathArs on His own accord and on his own free will

and by taking such avathArams like mathsya, koormam,

Rama, Krishna, his glories, powers, veeryam, shakthi

thejas, never ever get diminished; nor does He lose

them. He always possesses them as Bhagawaan. Without

realizing the same, Rudra, Chauthrmukha brahmA,

Devendra and others came to play and fight against

KaNNan (thinking wrongly that he is a mere cowherd

Boy). Since they came to fight, he had to necessarily

show the powers to them.

For those who are devoted to Him and are trying to

meditate on Him, He becomes easily accessible, enables

them to do so; they become recipient of His enormous

grace and compassion and He lets them develop (with

his grace) unflinching, unconditional faith

[mahAviswAsam] on Him.

JeevathAmAs- however level they go, they are never

capable of letting them reach mOksham; not they can on

others. Where is the question at all for granting

others mOksham, when they themselves can not get or

attain?

EmperumAn-even if he takes a small or lowly form, he

is able to grant mOksham to others- AzhwAr enjoys in

this verse.

In Rama avathAram, in order to get Sugreevan’s

friendship [with the witness of fire], he had sent an

arrow thorugh seven trees (to prove his valour);

later, he sent an arrow to pierce the strong chest of

Vaali and make him fall.. Our mahO upakarakan (most

merciful Lord) even during avathArams, He is capable

of ruling the upper world (Srivaikuntam); He alone can

grant the Supreme position of Srivaikuntam to those

who are in the thoughts and anugraham of Sriman

Narayanan (by their surrender to His lotus feet and

their devotion). And Not for others though they have

reached and are ruling the Sathya lOkam or any other

lOkam. Still, Srivaikuntam is inaccessible to them;

nor can they send anyone there in any manner.

His friend Sugreevan had traces of doubts and his

viswAsam was less. Rama had sent an arrow through the

seven trees and convinced of his valour to Sugreeva

thereby increasing his viswAsam. So, firstly we need

to develop friendship and asscociation with Him

thereby He grants us further more viswAsam in our

hearts. So, let us get rid of the abhimaanam (desire

and love) for the other demi gods – devathAtharams and

enmity to Him…

Never think that without His grace one can get the

biggest fruit- mOksham. Even those demi gods get their

powers due to His grace and anugraham. Else they would

not have been what they are. Even with the slight

excuse, (by showing some devotion), he gets pleased.

Even to think of Him, surrender to Him, we need His

grace and anugraham alone.. So, we need to get first

friendly with Him. To do that… first be in line with

what he has instructed (in saasthrAs); That is nothing

but Vedas and saasthrAs which are His command and

hence need to be followed.

umbaraaLi- even when taking fullest human form,

declaring “I am only mere ordinary human being- son of

King Dasaratha; athmAnAm maanusham manyE; rAmam

dasarathAthmajam”, due to His limitless grace, granted

Moksham to Jataayu pakshi.. [mayaa thvam samanujAthO

gaCCha lOkAnanutthamAn] Think of that.

vaanamaaLilum- Aishwaryam, - Do not think that just

because they are ruling the Deva lokam, Sathyalokam

etc., they can also access Srivaikuntam.

Yaarkkum- Do not at all have the thinking that Brahma,

Rudran and Vishnu are equal; do not have wrong jnAnam

(vibhareetha) that Vishnu’s grace and anugraham is not

needed for the other two… even they breathe and live

with His grace alone.
