Dear BhakthAs :

 

After enjoying the AchArya and Bhagavath-bhakthi laden ,

moving paasurams of PeriyAzhwAr on Soumya NaarAyaNan ,

we hear the foot steps of the peripatetic Thirumangai Mannan

in the garbha Graham . A veritable flood of Bhagavath anubhava

preethi soaked paasurams immersed the Lord . Thirumangai dedicated

13 paasurams through his dhivya Vaak along the path laid out by

PeriyAzhwAr , BhUthatthAzhwAr , Pey and Thirumazhisai AzhwArs .

 

Let us enjoy first the paasurams of the of BHUtham , Pey and

Thirumazhisai AzhwArs , who performed the MangaLAsAsanam of

the EmperumAn of ThirukkOttiyUr with one paasuram each .

(Meaning) : Oh my dear Mind ! I performed upadEsam for

you to engage in the pracise of meditation on the sacred

feet of the Lord. Meanwhile , our most compassionate Lord

has started on His own initiative . This Lord , who is like

a flawless blue gem with His powerful and bounteous arms

has settled for our sake at Srirangam , ThirukkOttiyUr ,

ThiruvEnkatam , ThirumAlirumchOlai and Thiruneermalai.

He has taken permanent residence to cultivate our

friendship and win us over .He has nithya Vaasam at these

dhivya dEsams for a long time to await our arrival . His

vaathsalyam for us propels Him to take His residence

as ArchA Moorthy at many dhivya dEsams like ThirukkOttiyUr

to await our arrival at any one of the places . How much more

generous can we expect HIm to be ? The incomparable

soulabhyam (ease of access to one and all ) and

the unlimited DayA of the Lord is saluted here .

(Meaning) : Sriman NaarAyaNan relishes as His preferred

places of residence the folowign dhivya dEsams to demonstrate

His souseelyam and Soulabhyam and to confer on us His

paramAnugrahams : ThiruviNNagar , ThiruvehhA , ThiruvEnkatam ,

ThruvELukkai , Thirukkudanthai , Thiruvarangam and ThrukkOttiyUr.

The Lord who demonstrated His souseelyam through accepted

the gift (dhAnam) of the three feet of land from MahA Bali

by recieveing the symbolic water on His cupped hand .

He put aside HIs Supermacy as the Lord of the Universe

and begged for three feet of land with His dwarf form and

sealed the acceptance of the gift by lowering His palm

to rcieve the water poured there by MahA Bali.

This magnanimous Lord stays at dhivya dEsams like

ThirukkOttiyUr as sarva sulabhan( most easy to access)

to grant us all the boons that we seek as SaraNAgathAs .

(Meaning) : This Paasuram is one of the beautiful ones

by Thirumazhisai on ArchAvathAra Moorthys at

ThirukkOttiyUr and ThiruvenkadamudayAn .Here AzhwAr

walks a delicate diplomatic line and confesses : " Yes , I am

indeed firm of intent to eulogize Sri Soumya NaarAyaNan of

ThirukkOttiyUr . There should not be any doubt about that

heartfelt desire . Inspite of that driving interst , I have not

forgotten the Lord of ThiruvEnkatam even for a moment .

I meditate on Lord VenkatEsan's sacred feet for

the removal of all samsAric afflictions and to gain

ParipoorNa BrahmAnandham through nithya kaimakryam

at His Supreme Abode of Sri Vaikuntam . After all ,

the name of the Lord of the Seven hills is Thiru VenkatatthAn

(i-e) vEm kadayathi ithi Venkatam ( That which destroys all

pApams and causes thereafter bliss : vEnkAra: amrutha

bheejam syAth kadam iswaryam uchyathE ).
