Sri Alavandhaar's SthOthra Rathnam- verse 17- the whole universe, jeevans are all under control and rulership!

SrImathE Gopaladesika mahadesikaya namah:

Dearest Srivaishnavas,

 

Alavandhar now explains how His Supreme Ruler ship and

Prabhuthvam transcends the Universe and leela

vibhUthi.

 

yadaNdam aNdaanthara gOcharancha yad

dasOttharaaNyaavaraNaani yaani cha

guNA: pradhaanam purusha: param padham

paraath param brahma cha thE vibhUthaya: [17]

 

The cosmic universe- everything that is within; the

waters, the space, the fire, the air, the earth- etc…

Beyond the universe, ten times and further more ten

times bigger, huge, ten times vast surrounding waters,

fire etc.; the three guNAs namely Sattva rajas and

thamasic gunAs; the causal Matter (moola prkarithi);

the baddha jeevathmaas; [jeevans living in this

universe]; the most purest Suddha sattva Paramapadham-

SrI vaikuNtam; above all- the purest Muktha, Nithya

jeevaathmaas; and the most wonderful divine most

auspicious Dhivya mangala vigraham of Yours as

Paramapadha nAthan at Sri vaikuntam with all

paraphernalia; - these are all merely Your splendour’s

manifestations and your aishwaryam only…

 

vibhUthi means vishEshaNa bhUthi: the property as well

under the directorship to execute; all the above

mentioned are under Your control and are executed by

Yours and are your property undoubtedly. When such is

the case, is there any way that there is a question as

to whether anyone is there equal to You or above You?

[how can there be at all?]

 

aNdam- [universe] itself is BrahmANdam (huge]; all

fourteen lokas are housed in this egg of brahmANdam;

the whole Universe and the ones housed in them are all

Your wealth; your property; all these various andAs

(universes) are all at one time equal to one follicle

on Bhagawaan – says PurANA. The ten time bigger huge

waters that surround the universe; further ten times

is agni [fire], vaayu [air]; aakaasam [space- ether];

ahankaaram, mahath; etc.. are there. The three guNAs

are the one that are further more in addition to the

above; for these guNAs- the basis is moola prakruthi;

the baddha jeevans live in here; [like us];

 

beyond this prakrithi is Paramapadham where Muktha

jeevans [those who have attained Paramapadham from

here] and Nithyar [those jeevans who are always at

Paramapadham namely Anantha, Garuda, Vishvaksenar, et

al]; all of them surrender and enjoy Your dhivya

mangaLa vigraham at Paramapadham which is also Your

property (meaning Your ThirumEni of Suddha sattvam is

different from Your AthmA]

 

You rule them all most blissfully.

 

The Primordial matter or Moola prakrithi is infinite

in proportion except in the place where the

Paramapadham [supreme Abode] exists. The prakrithi is

undergoing changes incessantly to result in the form

of mahath, ahankara, and others. In such areas, where

there happens to be a variation in respect of the

qualities namely, Sattva, Rajas and thamas, all such

transformations happen only according to His sankalpam

(will); and it is to be known that matter is also

BrahmAthmakam and that is incapable of funtioninbg

independently and is always under the control of

Iswara. This is also an inseparable attribute of the

Supreme Paramaathma both in its causal state and its

effected state [sookshuma and sthoola].

 

Thus prakrithi thus transforms into 24 fundamental

principles: they are: moola prakrithi (primordial

matter), mahat, ahankara, six jnAnEndriyas, including

manas; five karmEndriyas, five tanmaathrAs and five

bhUthAs; -totalling 24]

 

All are under His Control.
