Sri Alavandhaar's SthOthra Rathnam verse- 31- when will those red lotus feet of Yours adorn my head!

SrimathE Gopaladesika mahadesikaya namah:

Dearest Srivaishnavas,

 

For the saranagathi that he had performed, the fruit

that was desired for is Moksham. The primary fruit

desired first [as mentioned in earlier verse] is

saakshaath kaaram. Having desired and asked for the

dhivya darshan, now Alavandhar prays for His Lotus

feet to adorn his (Alavandhar’s) head.

 

kadhaa puna: sankha rathAnga kalpaka

dhvaja aravindhaankusa vajra laanchanam |

trivikrama! Tvat charaNAmbhuja dwayam

madheeya moordhaanam alankarishyathi ||

 

Oh Trivikramaa! The One who placed three measures of

feet! The Conch Shell; The Divine ChakrA; the flag

(dwaja sthambham); the lotus flower; the vajra marks

(lines) are seen underneath Your divine red Lotus

feet. When will those red lotus feet be placed my head

and adorn the same as an ornament?

 

Yanmoordhni mE paadhi… - I had mentioned earlier. Even

contemplating- thinking – meditating of Your red lotus

feet, They appear above my head [in my heart and in my

mind]. But that is not enough for me. They [The lotus

feet] should physically adorn my head by those feet

being placed on my head. And the wonderful marks

namely Sankhu, Chakra, Vajra, ankusam etc.. which are

found underneath Your Feet should be pressed on my

head and that would be my bhAgyam. Do not worry that

the head would hurt Your tender red lotus feet. You

Yourself may make it soft and tender for You to place

the soft tender red lotus feet on my head- pressing

the same with all those marks making an imprint on my

head. Please bless the same. Alavandhar requests and

prays with intense desire for adorning his head with

the red lotus feet of the Lord. [thanmai peRutthitth
