Guest guest
SrI: Dear BhakthAs : In an earlier posting , adiyEn described the plans underway to release a Special Souvenir on the Hindu SamskArAs ( Upanayanam , VivAham , Pumsavanam , Seemantham , SrAddham , anthima kriyAs and others ) authored by some of the greatest scholars on Gruhya Sutras from Tamil Naadu . This is to be released during the 50th anniversary of the Sanskrit MahA VidhyAlayA of West Mambalam ( January 2005). The medium of language is Tamil . We will also cut a CD ROM of the book for ease of use . Pledges have been recieved now for 50% of the anticipated expenses ($1200). We need to raise the remaining $600 to complete the fund raising to make it possible to go ahead with the printing of the Monograph . It will be wonderful for us all to have a reference book on some of the most important Vaidhika samskArAs covered by the authorities in this field , where thay explain the appropriate Veda Manthrs , their sequence (kramams) and their Phalans . We need 12 more sponsors , who can provide $50 each from overseas to complete this effort . BhakthAs from India are welcomed to contribute whatever they wish to speed up the fund raising process for realizing this invaluable monograph on Vaidhika SamskArAs . In these days of abridged karmAs assisted by inadequately prepared Brahaspathis , it is important that the earnest Yajamaana have an awareness of the rich kramam in peforming Vaidhika KarmAs so that there are no lObhams (Failings/short comings) in the recitation of the Veda ManthrAs . Please let me know of your interest in supproting this kaimkaryam . Sponsors will recieve a copy of this Monograph in the printed version or in the form of a CD ROM .
