Dear BhakthAs of Sri BhUmi Devi SamEtha Oppilaa Appan :

 

Today , adiyEn will complete the remaining 54 NaamAs of our Kula dhaivam ,

ThiruviNNagarappan's AshtOtthara Satha NaamAs based on Upanishadic

sources such as ChAndhOgyam et al . Please add PraNavam before Each of

these NaamAs .

 

VaikuntE thu parE lokE Sriyaa saartham Jagathpathy

aasthE VishNurachinthyAthmaa Bhakthair BhAgavathissaha

 

(Meaning ) : In the Superior world of SrI Vaikuntam , The Lord of the Universe ,

VishNu with His unimaginable beautiful form is present wth His Divine Consort ,

SrI DEvi and with His BhakthAs and BhAgavathAs .

 

SrI VaikuntanAthan is present in a similar form at ThiruviNNagara dhivya dEsam .

 

(55) Saamna udhgeeTa Rasa SvaroopAya Nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarAn ,

who is the essence of the Saamans of Saama Vedam : OmkAra Svaroopan ) .

 

(56) Gaayatra SaamnA aarAdhithAya nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarAN

worshipped by Gaayathri Saaman , one of the seven Saamans . Gaayathri Saaman

has the view of the mind, speech , eye , ear and PrANa at is disposal ) .

 

(57) RaTanthara SaamnA upAsithAya Nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarappan ,

who is worshipped through RaTAnthara Saaman , which is established in Agni).

 

(58) VaamadEva SaamnA aarAdhithAya Nama: ( NamskArams to ThiruviNNagarAn

worshipped by VaamadEva Saaman , which is established in the miTunam . Such

a worship gives the worshipper progeny , cattle , Fame and long life filled with splendour) .

 

(59) Brihadh SaamnA aarAdhithAya Nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarAn ,

who is worshipped by Brihadh Saaman rooted in Aadhithya . This worshipper

lives a full life surrounded by immense wealth of every kind ).

 

(60) Vairupa SaamnA vandhithAya Nama: (NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarAn ,

who is worshipped by the Vairupa Saaman established in Parjanya / rain ).

 

(61) VairAja SaamnA upAsithAya Nama: ( NamskArams to ThiruviNNagarAn ,

who is worshipped by VairAja Saaman devoted to the seasons ) .

 

(62) Sakvari SaamnA aarAdhithAya Nama: ( NamskArams to TiruviNNagarAn ,

who is worshipped by Sakvari Saaman" woven in the worlds").

 

(63) Revathi SaamnA aarAdhithAya Nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarAn ,

who is worshipped by Revathy Saaman established in animals ) .

 

(64) Yajnyayajneeya SaamnA prasthuthAya nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarAn ,

who is eulogized by Yajnyayajneeya Saaman devoted to the parts of the Body ) .

 

(65) Raajana SaamnA aarAdhithAya Nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarAn

worshipped by Raajana Saaman linked to the DevAs) .

 

(66) Sarva SaamnA vandhithAya Nama: ( NamskArams to ThiruviNNagarAn

saluted by Sarva Saaman devoted to every thing . That upAsakan obtains every thing

= kaamymAnam Sarvam aapnOthi) .

 

(67) Vinardhi SaamnA UpAsithAya Nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarAn

meditated upon by Vinardhi Saaman for the welfare to the animals) .

 

(68) Pancha Brahma Purusha antaryAminE Nama: ( NamAskArams to ThiruviNNagarAn ,

who is the indweller of the five Brahma PurushAs , (Viz)., Aditya , Chandra , Agni ,

Parjanya and AakAsa . These five are the door keepers of the world of Brahman).

 

(69) SarvagandhAya Nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarAn , who is

the possessor of all fragrances ) .

 

(70) JyOthirutthamAya Nama: (NamaskAram to ThiruviNNagarAn , who is

the eternal and auspicious Supreme JyOthi that empowers all the other

luminous bodies like the Stars , Sun and the Moon ) .

 

(71) HiraNya dhamshtrAya Nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarAn ,

who has golden teeth or one with His teeth destroyed HirNayan during

His avathAram as Narasimhan) .

 

(72) Jn~anandhamayAya nama:(NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarAn , who is

infinite Bliss reminding us of His HayagrIva avathAram ) .

 

(73) Sarva jn~Aya Nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarAn , who is Omniscient ) .

 

(74)SuddhAya nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarAN , who is untainted by

any inauspicous attribute and is forever pure ) .

 

(75) Chintanaa maathrENa sambhuthi vara dhAyakAya Nama: ( NamaskArams to

ThiruviNNagrappan , who blesses one with the boon of SambhUthi/Brahma

Prapthi /archirAdhi maarga gathi through the meditation on Him; " archirAdhi

mArgENa gathvA MukthA bhavanthi ) .

 

(76) Sathyasya SathyAya Nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarappan ,

who is Nithya Sathyan and is of the Supreme form of " Sathyam - Jn~Anam-

Anantham- Brahmaa " ) .

 

(77) PrANasya PrANAya Nama: ( NamskArams to ThiruviNNagrappan , who

is the life of the life ) .

 

(78) Dheera NaaTAya Nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarappan ,

the Master of all dheerAs , who understand Him as aparicchinnathvan/

one with infinite attributes. The intelligent ones / dheerAs meditate on

Him as ParamAtman and do not grieve about any thing / "MahAntham

VibhumAthmAnam mathva dheerO na sOchathy " according to

KatOpanishad ) .

 

(79) TuLasi vana nivAsAya Nama: ( NamskArams to ThiruviNnagarappan ,

who is fond of the TuLasi Vanam , where He married BhUmi DEvi and

has His nitya vaasam . " tadhvanam ithyupAsithavyam " instructs

KenOpanishad . Meditation on Brahman as "Vanam" is revealed here ).

 

(80) Yajana-adhyayana-dhaana maargENa labhyamAna Parama purushAya Nama:

( Salutations to ThiruviNNagarappan , who is attainable by sacrifice , learning

and giving . These are known as Thrikarma-kruth ).

 

(81) aalamBana srEshtAya Nama: ( NamaskArams to the Best / Supreme Support,

ThiruviNNagarappan ) .

 

(82) NirvikAra Svaroopya Nama: ( NamaskArams to the immutable , Supreme

Being , ThiruviNNagarappan ).

 

(83) SarvabhUtha antharAthminE Nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarappan ,

who is the indweller of all entities. " yEka yEvassann ParamAthmA prathivasthu

antharyAmi" ) .

 

(84) Saasvatha sukha dhAyinE nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarappan ,

who blesses us with the eternal bliss of freedom from the cycles of births and deaths ) .

 

(85) VyApakAya Nama: ( NamaskArams to the All-Pervader , ThiruviNNagarappan ).

 

(86) HiraNyagarbhAya Nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarappan , who was

residing in Parama Padham prior to Creation in the form of HiraNyagarbhan:

MahA NaarAyaNa Upanishad: " HiraNyagarba : samavarthathAgrE BhUthasya

jaatha : pathirEka aaseeth " ) .

 

( 87) Dhvipadha: Chathushpadha Isaaya Nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarappan ,

who is the ruler of all bipeds and Quadrupeds on earth / MahA NaarAyaNOpanishad:

ya IsE asya dhvipadhaschathushpadha: kasmai dEvAya havishAvidhEma ).

 

(88) Yasya-cchAyaa amrutham ithi sthuthyamAna SarvEsvarAya Nama: ( NamaskArams to

Thiruvinnagrappan , who is saluted in the Upanishad as the One followed by immortality

as His shadow ).

 

(89) SarvalOka SaraNyAya Nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarappan ,

who is the Rakshakan for all the beings of the World ) .

 

(90) Prathyang-mukhAya nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarappan , who

has all the Jeevans as His body ) .

 

(91) VisvathOr-mukhAya Nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNnagarappan , who has

all of the nonsentient objects as His body ) .

 

(92) vEnAya nama: ( NamaskArams to that TannoppArillappan , who sees everything

with the light of the Sun / Rg Vedam(10.10.123) : "Yath pasyasi chakshushA Sooryasa ".

 

(93) Gandharva NaamAngithAya nama: ( NamskArams to ThiruviNNagarappan ,

who is addressed as Gandharvan (i-e)., the One who supports the Earth " .

 

(94) Sarva SeshiNE nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarappan , who is

the the Overlord and Master of all ) .

 

(95) Nithyassori Parishath NaayakAya Nama: ( namaskArams to Yennappan ,

who is the Lord of NityAs and MukthAs ) .

 

(96) JaathavEdhAya nama: (NamaskArams to Mutthappan , who is the Omniscient

Lord /Sarvajn~an) .

 

(97) Saptha prANa janakAya Nama: ( NamaskArams to Ponnappan , who is

the creator of the seven sense organs : Five JnanEndhriyAs , Manas and Buddhi ) .

 

(98) Saptha Samidha: PitarE nama: ( NamaskAram to MaNiyappan , the Creator of

the seven Sacrifical fuel sticks : Twigs from Asvattha , Udhumbhara , Paalasa ,

Samee , Vikankatha , asanihatha Vruksha and PushkaraparNa trees as oblations for

the sacrificial fire with seven tongues . ThiruviNNagarappan is also known as

BhUmi Devi SamEtha Yaj~na VarAha Moorthy , whose body has all the upakaraNams

needed for an Yaj~nam ) .

 

(99) VidhartArAya Nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarappan , the unique

supporter of the Universe that He created :" visEshENa jagathO dhArakam ") .

 

(100) Tridhaa AahithAya nama: ( NamaskArams to Vaikunta Naathan / ThiruviNNagarAN ,

who manifests Himself in three different VyUhaa forms : SankarshaNa , Pradhyumna

and Aniruddha forms ) .

 

(101) PoorNa PurushAya Nama: ( NamaskArams to that ParamAthman , ThiruviNNagarAn ,

who is SampoorNan in every way . There is no one equal or superior to Him . Others

have some blemish or other and hence are apoorNa purushAs ) .

 

(102) KrishNa Pingala roopAya Nama: ( NamskArams to ThiruviNNagarAn

with the body color of dark blue blending with the golden hue of MahA Lakshmi

residing on His chest : " NamasthE ParamAnandha vapusham KrishNapingaLam ".

 

(103) BruhmanaspathayE nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarappan , who is the BrahmaNaspathy : The Lord of the chathur VedAs or the Lord of Brahma Devan ).

 

(104) Sarva JagadheesAya Nama: (NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarappan , who

is the undisputed Lord of all the Universes ) .

 

(105) SvE MahimnE prathishitithAya Nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarappan ,

who is established in His own glory and does not need any one else as His aadhAram ).

 

(106) amruthAksharAya Nama: ( NamaskArams to ThiruviNNagarappan , who is

eternally present and is like nectar to experience : "amruthathvAth , maraNa-

soonyathvAth Akshara: " ).

 

(107) Vasundhara SambhandhAth laBdha-pOshAya Nama: ( NamaskArams to

ThiruviNNagarappan , whose Keerthi grew many fold due to His links to BhUmi

PirAtti at this dhivya dEsam ) .

 

(108)KreeDA VarAha MahishI NaaTAya Nama: ( NamaskArams to BhUmi DEvi's

Lord , who took on the avathAram of VarAha PerumAL in a sporting manner .

BhUmi PirAtti is instrumental in us being blessed with the VarAha Charama slOkam

for our upliftment and apunarbhAvam ).

 

adiyEn would like to place this samarpaNam of the AshtOtthara Satha Naamams

at the Sacred Thiruvadi of our Kua Dhaivam with two Veda Manthrams from

MahA NaarAyaNOpanaishad ( The meanings are from Dr.N.S. Ananatha RangAchArya

Swamy ) :

 

PrajApathisccharathi garbhE antha: , ajAyamAnO Bahudhaa vijAyathE

Tasya DheerA: parijAnanthy yOnim , mareecheenAm padamicchanthy vEdhasa:

 

---- MahA NaarAyaNOpanishad Manthram

 

(Meaning) : Sriman NarAyaNa , the Lord of all entities , sentient or nonsentient ,

moves within the cave of the hearts of all as the inner controller . Being of the nature of

having no birth , He is born many-wise on account of His Divine Will . The wise know

well the cause of His birth . Such Yogins yearn to attain His eternal abode , where

the eternals ever abide .

 

Rucham BhrAmam janayantha: dEvA agrE tadhaBhruvan

yasthvaivam BhrAhmaNO vidhyAth tasya dEvA asan vasE

 

----MahA NaarAyaNOpanishad Manthram

 

(Meaning) The DEvAs uttered before their Lord that word , " Namah"

that generates the love of the Supreme Brahman . All dEvAs beginning

with the four-faced Brahma Devan become dependent upon that knower of

Brahman , who is aware of this .
