Dear Sri Raman:

It is delightful to know that you wish to contribute funds to

the TadheeyAradhanam of the SthOthra PaaDa GhOshti of

Youngsters at Lord HayagrIvan's sannidhi in Oushada Giri , where

Swamy Desikan was blessed to have the darsanam of

Lord HayagrIvan .

TadheeyArAdhanam is the correct way to spell .DadhiyArAdhanam

and TathiyArAdhanam are wrong ways to spell .In slang it ends up as

TadhiyArAdhanam . Offering PrasAdhams to BhagavAn and

then distributing it to the Bhaagavatha ghOshti is TadheeyArAdhanam

is all about . TaDiyAradhanam means " treatment " with sticks .

DadheeyAradhanam means worship with curds . Both are

wrong usages of this Sanskrit word .

TadheeyArAdhanam means aarAdhanam of TadheeyaaLs .

AarAdhanam is for antharyAmi Brahman; offering prasAdham to

the indwelling Lord of BhaagavathALs , who are dear to the Lord

(TadheeyaaLs) is referred to as TadheeyArAdhanam .

" OronRu thaanE amayAtho " : THIS GROUP OF WORDS ARE FORM

A TANIYAN IN VeNN Paa meter(Tamil Poetry) given to us by one of

the SishyAs of Swamy Desikan for blessing him with KaalakshEpam

on SrI BhAshyam ( AchArya RaamAnujA's commentary on Brahma Soothrams).

The full Taniyan is :

SeeronRu Thoopul ThiruvengadamudayAn

paaronRac-chonna pazhamozhiyuL " OronRu

thAnE amayAtho " tharaNiyil vaazhvArkku

vaanERap-pOmaLavum vaazhvu

The portion within paranthesis in the above benedictory verse ( Taniyan)

has been chosen as the name of the SabhA .

(Meaning of the Taniyan ) : For those living in this earth seeking

permanent residence in Sri Vaikuntam , it is sufficent to study

even a small portion of the Sri Sookthis of the auspicious AchAryan ,

VedAntha Desikan , who was born at the Thuppul agrahAram as

the incarnation of the Lord of Seven Hills ( ThiruvEngadamudayAn) .

" Paar onrac-chonna pazhamozhiyuL OronRu thAnE amayAthO? " :

*************************************************************************************

Among all the praacheena ( ancient) dhivya Sookthis (divine compositions)

created by Swamy Desikan for the benefit of the world , would not even

a small portion of one alone be sufficient for successful travel to Sri Vaikuntam ?

This is a rhetorical question and the author of the Taniyan implies that such a small

portion of a dhivya sookthi of Swamy Desikan is more than sufficent to

help us gain Moksham .

adiyEn will be sending a small amount of funds to Sriman SeshAdhri

to keep such Kaimkaryams going at Dhivya dEsams and encouraging

youngsters to master the Praacheena dhivyaSookthis of Swamy Desikan .

With Best Wishes ,

Re: Thatiyarathana Kainkaryam - donate a rupee

Dear Mr. Seshadri:

It is hard for me to pronounce the name of your sabha, since in English short and long vowels are written the same way. Can you repeat the vowel one more time if it were a long one?

Is it "Orundru Thaanee Amaiyaadhoo Sabhaa"? Although I am a Tamilian, I still cannot decipher the meaning. Can you enlighten me?

Also is it "Thatiyaaraadhana" or "Thadiyaaraadhana" or "dhadhhiaaraadhana"? I would like to know what it means too.

Finally, I would love to contribute to the kainkaryam mentioned and I would ask my niece in Chennai-61 to send your sabhaa a small amount. Wish the program a well sounding success.
