Dear SishyAs of Ahobila Matam and AbhimAnis :

 

Last year , You took part in an Once in a life time Kaimkaryam

of providing Silver cladding for the PoorvAchArya Padhukais

of the 44 PoorvAchAryAs of Sri Ahobila Matam starting with

Sri Adhi VaNN SaThakOpa Jeeyar , the Founder of the Sri Matam ,

who recieved his Iniitation into SanyAsAsramam from

BhagavAn Lakshmi Nrusimhan Himself at His Ahobila Kshethram .

 

Many of us responded with joy to the niyamanam of

HH Sri NaarAyaNa YathIndhra MahA Desikan to take part

in such a noble Kaimkaryam aimed at preserving and protecting

the wodden Padhukais of our PoorvAchAryAs from the ravages of time .

 

Every DhvAdasi day , all of the PoorvAchArya Paadhukais

recieve Thirumanjanam and AarAdhanam from the Current

PeetAdhipathi , HH the 45th Pattam Jeeyar , Sri NaarAyaNa

YathIndhra MahA Desikan .

 

Sriman DiwAkara KaNNan of Bangalore was there at Sri Matam

duirng the last DhvAdasi and enjoyed the Thirumanjanam and

AarAdhanam . He has been kind enough to share the images of

the sacred PaadhukAs awaiting Thirumanjanam . It is a beautiful and

ennobling sight to see all the PaadhukAs at one palce and time .

 

We have only one Padhukai of Sri Adhi VaNN SaThakOpa

Jeeyar that goes back to more than 600 years . Please

read the granthAksharams on the body of that sacred PaadhukA .

In other PaadhukAs , you will see the number of the Pattam

realting to the Azhagiya Singar , whose Thiruvadi the Padhukai

adorned .

 

All of us who were fortunate to take part in that MahA Kaimakryam

can consider ourselves blessed . adiyEn's most sincere thanks

for all those who took part in this Kaimakryam .

 

This year , the funds are being assembled to cover the expenses

realted to the 59 days of the ChAthurmAsyam of Prakrutham

Azhagiya Singar ( July 22- Sep 18 , 2005 ) .

 

Sofar , 50 out of the 59 days have been sponsored by Sri Matam

SishyAs and abhimAnis from USA , Singapore , Australia and India .

 

Following NINE days are still available for sponsorship :

 

August 6 , 11 , 14 , 24 , 28 ( 5 days)

September 2 , 10 , 12 and 13 ( 4 days) .
