SrImathE Gopaladesika mahadesikaya namah:

Dearest all,

 

After mudhal aazhwArs, let us continue to enjoy

Thirumazhisai AzhwAr’s verses on thiruvEnkatam.

Today’s verse is the 42nd verse in Naanmukhan

ThiruvanthAthi..

 

senRu vaNanguminO sENuyar vEngadaththai,

ninRu vinaikedukkum nIrmaiyaal, enRum

kadikkamala naanmuganum kaNmoonRath thaanum,

adikkamalam ittEththu mangu. 42

 

Reach that tall mountain of ThiruvEmkatam and pay

obeisance to Him. This Greatest Mountain, by its very

nature, removes the sins of all those who pay their

obeisance to this Lord of ThiruvEnkatam at all

times. The most fragrant Lotus born BrahmA, and the

three eyed Sivan too offer Lotus flowers at the Lotus

Feet of Srinivasa PerumAL and pay their praNaamams at

this sthalam at ALL TIMES.

 

The ThiruvEnkata veRRpu [mountain] is the One that

crushes all our paapams. vEm plus katam means: The one

that burns the paapams. This is the mountain where

even BrhamA and Sinvan come and offer the lotus

flowers at the Lotus Feet of Srinivasan; as it is more

easily accessible unlike Milky ocean. Srinivasan is

such a sowlabhyan- waiting to crush our paapams-

readily standing at all times for our sake. Thus those

who can have an access to PaaRkadal also come here and

consider this as better. He is The Supreme Lord thus

being worshipped by even Chathur mukha BrahmA and

Rudran.

 

In mantraraajapadha sthothra, the most eminent Rudra

himself declares as follows:

 

dAsabhoothA: swatha: sarvai aathmaana: paramaathmaana:

|

athO(S)hamapi thE dAsa: ithi mathvA namAmyaham }}

 

All Atmans are the servants of that Paramaathman by

their nature. So, I am also Your dAsa. Knowing thus, I

seek refuge in You..

 

It is declared clearly that demi gods like BrahmA,

Rudra et al are not upaasyas for a person who is

desirous of Moksha. Sriman Narayanan is the upasya of

even Brahma and Rudra as well as other aspirants of

liberation.

 

samsaaraarNavagnaanaam vishayaakraantha ChEthasaam |

vishNupOtham vinaa naanyath kinchithasthi paraayaNam

||

 

For people whose minds are over possessed by the

objects of senses and who are drowning in the ocean of

samsaara, there is no refuge other than the boat of

the form of VishNu.

 

Rudra states: Sri Hari alone is to be meditated upon

always by you who are established in Satva; That

Supreme Lord is verily the Upaaya; I am only a means

to that meditation of the Supreme.

 

harirEktha sadhA dhyEya: bhavadhbhi: sattvasThithai: |

upAsyO(S)yam sadhA viprA: upAyOsmi harE smruthi: ||

 

There can not be any more unambiguous and unparalleled

Truth.
