SrImathE Gopaladesika mahadesikaya namah:

Dearest all,

 

After mudhal aazhwArs, next we have begun to enjoy

Thirumazhisai AzhwAr’s verses on thiruvEnkatam.

Today’s verse is the 45th verse in Naanmukhan

ThiruvanthAthi.

 

purindhu malarittup puNdarigap paatham,

parindhu padukaadu niRpa, - therindhengum

thaanOngi niRkinRaan thaNNaruvi vEngadamE

vaanOrkkum maNNOrkkum vaippu. 45

 

Emperumaan is standing so beautifully and gracefully

at this mountain and BhAgawathAs, who most lovingly

and devotedly offer flowers at His Feet with

mangaLaasaasanams (by praising Him with sthOthrams).

They all fall at His Feet and prostrate falling like a

cut tree trunk. Such Greatest Emperumaan is my Lord

and this cool breezy mountain with waterfalls is the

INVALUABLE TREASURE (Nidhi) for even NithyasUris, and

the Earthly people.

 

ThiruvEnkatamudaiyaan is the nAThan and without Him

there is no nAthan.

 

Puridhal- manO vyApAram- think of Him, meditating on

Him and His Lotus Feet. [mind]

Idudhal- offering of flowers- kaayikam- bodily action]

Paridhal- Singing in praise of Him…

ThiruppallaaNdu-with unalloyed devotion and bhakti-

considering His pleasure alone as the Only aim for us.

Padukaadu niRRal- like a fallen tree – falling at His

Lotus Feet.

thaaNongi- Swayam vyaktha kshThram- on his own –

appearing in this divya Desam.

thaNNaruvi vEnkatam- The ThiruvEnkatam which crushes

the paapam and grants aishwaryam [wealth] and grants

mOksham [Absolutee Bliss in Srivaikuntam] – It

quenches our thaapa tharayam [aadhyaathmikam;

adhibowdhikam and aadhidaivikam]..

 

tApa traya-s: ailments associated with the body and

the mind (AdhyAtmikam), Adhibhoudikam (those that are

caused by other bhUta-s such as animals, birds, etc.),

and Adhidaivikam (those caused by divine causes such

as fire, water, heat, cold, etc.)

 

Thus He destroys these three thaapam as well as grants

sukham.. He has thus SubAsraya ThirumEni..
