Dear BhakthAs of GodhA PirAtti :

Let us enjoy some of the extrapolations from the Mukthaa

Paddhathi of Swamy Desikan 's Sri RanganAtha PaadhukA

sahasram (RPS) as it could be applied to the rows of blemishless

pearls in the Mutthangi under construction . The slOkams that inspired

me are indicated in front as Slokam 2 below .

(1) SlOkam 2 : The radiant white pearls on the Mutthangi of

ANDAL ( Tava vimalaa Moukthika Paddhathi ) are comparable to

the Paasurams of ThiruppAvai and NaacchiyAr Thirumozhi .

Each of them store the deep tatthva Jn~Anam and UpadEsa

anugraham of ANDAL . They shine like the assembly of bundles

of PuNya KarmAs ( Samkramithaa Saadhu kruthyEva vibhAthi)

accumulated by the Saadhu Jeevans .

(2) SlOkam " 3 " : Adaptation of SlOkam 3 :

SaraNAgatha sasya-maalineeyam

Tava MukthA-MaNi Rasmi nirjjarOgai:

nanu GodhApriya MuktthAngi !

Jagathee nithyam adhaiva mAthrukaa abhUth

(Comments) : Oh Mutthangi dear to ANDAL ( Nanu Godhapriya

MuktthAngi ) ! Beautiful while pearls have been enmeshed (Woven)

in Your new angi . Their lustre is eternal because of their sambhandham

with ANDAL's dhivya ThirumEni (divine body ) .

Oh ANDAL of SrivilliputthUr ! The radiance from the rows of white pearls

on Your Angi resembles a ceaseless flood associated with a sparkling

mountain stream . That flood nourishes the crop of SaraNAgathAs

in this world and prepares them for performing nithya Kaimkaryam

at Sri Vaikuntam at the end of their earthly lives . This rush of water

from the mountain streams ( the equivalent of the radiance from the rows

of pearls from Your Mutthangi / Tava MukthaamaNi rasmi nirjjara Ogai: )

makes the crop of SaraNAgathaas assured of the life-giving Dayaa of

Yours ( ANDAL"s) .

" SaraNaagatha sasya Maaliniee " stands here for the rows and rows of

crops in the field awaiting the life-sustaining waters. The waters here are

the Dayaa (Compassion = anukampaa ) of ANDAL for Her children .

In response to the anticipation of the SaraNAgathAs , Her compassion

descends down with force like a mountain stream ( Roaring water fall ).

What descends down and soaks the SaraNAgathAs are the dazzling rays

from the pearls of the MukthAngi and makes their post-prapatthi lives

purposeful & fertile ( adhaivamAthrukaa = not like Maanam paartha seemai ) .

(3) SlOkam 4 : Adopted RPS SlOkam for Ranga Priyaa , GodhA

Oh MukthAngi ! On you are enmeshed a huge assembly of radiant

white pearls ( nava MukthaamaNi nirmala prakaasA ) . Oh Pearl

angi ! Your pearls confer a dazzling brilliance on You . That JyOthi

makes You resemble the first crescent of the Moon ( Prathipath

chandrakalaa iva sphurasi) found at the sacred feet of Sri RanganAthan

(adhivishNupadham parisphuranthee prathipath chandrakalaa iva ).

With that auspicious radiance , Oh Angi , You confer all auspiciousness

to the janthus of the world ( Thvam prathipath Chandrakalaa iva

pumsAm mangaLAni paripushyasi) .
