SrImathE Gopaladesika mahadesikaya namah:

Dearest all,

After Thirumazhisai AzhwAr Naanmukhan ThirvanthAthi on

ThiruvEnkatam, we will begin to enjoy Thirumazhisai

AzhwAr’s verses [on Thirucchanda viruttham]. Today’s

verse is the 81st verse on ThiruvEnkatam.

There are very many vibhava avathArams and one can

meditate on any avathAram of Sriya: Pathi Sriman

Narayanan. However, if one wonders that there are no

such vibhava avathArams now and where shall we go..,

AzhwAr says: There are Dhivya Desams like

TiruvEmkatam- that archA mUrthy alone is the refuge...

kadainthapaaRka dalkidanthu kaalan^Emi yaikkadinthu,

udainthavaali thanpinukku thavavanthi raamanaay,

midainthavEzhma rankaLuma dankaveythu,vEnkadam

adainthamaala paathamE yadainthun^aaLu muymminO (81)

Reclining on the Milky ocean that was once churned;

having killed kAla nEmi asurA; having sent one arrow

through seven trees effortlessly

[during rAmAvathAram] with an intent to prove his

valour to Sugreevan- Vaali's brother- at Rishyamukha

moutain where Sugreevan was living to help him; - Such

Greatest Lord is now at ThirumEnkatam- Be devoted to

His Lotus feet alone; and be saved all days...

The Lord who was reclining peacefully on the Milky

ocean on AdhisEshan bed, heeding to the prayers of

Devas, got out of His place, bed, and even helped them

in all sorts to churn the ocean to get nectar

(amudham) for them. He had never even thought " this is

where I am reclining; why should I get out? When

churned, it would spoil the milk; there will be bad

smell arising out even; Will that be later Milky

ocean? " He never thought of all of these and

immediately came forward to be Parama upakArakan- as

He usually is. That is why He is THE LORD.

Valli's brother was living in fear (from Vaali) at

Rishyamukha parvatham and Rama and Lakshamana went

there while searching for Sita PiraaTTi. When

Sugreevan was suspicious of Rama'a valour Rama,

effortlessly sent one arrow through seven trees to

prove His skill.

Some comment that seven refers to seven oceans, seven

kula parvadhams (moutains) and seven pAthALa lOkam

also. Sri KooratthAzhwAn had mentioned: saalaamsCha

saptha sagirIna sarasAthaLAn ya: Even here, seven

mountains and seven pAthALA are not referred to and

hence it may not be appropriate to refer to.

Be devoted to the divine lotus feet of the Lord

Thiruvenkatamudaiyaan and All days- be saved. OR it

may also mean: AT least one day go there and surrender

to His Lotus feet and be saved...
