Guest guest
SrI: Today is the Thrunakshathram of Upanishad BhAshyakArar , Who was born at VeLAmUr in Tamil Naadu .Srimathy Usha Narasimhan of Bangalore sent me a note on Upanishad BhAshyakArar today. I am sending that note by seperate mail and thank her for reminding us all about the signiifcance of this day . Our Thnaks are to Smt. Usha Narasimhan for reminding us about the importance of this day . Sri Ranga Ramanuja Muni was given this title of Upanishad BhAshyakArar by SrivilliputthUr ANDAL . Sri RanganAtha Mun i has written Sixty SrI Sookthis on our Bhagavad RaamAnuja SiddhAntham . Some of them are described in the URL given below . The most important among them for VedAbhimAnis and VaidhikAs are the Commentaries for DasOpanishads used by AchArya RaamAnuja in His Sri BhAshyam . He became a SanyAsi and stayed at ThUppul /ThirutthaNkaa Temple of Sri Maragathavalli SamEtha Sri Dheepa PrakAsa PerumAL Until His ascent to Parama Padham . Upanishad BhAshyakArar ( Sri Ranga RaamAnuja Muni of 16th Century ) was a contemproary of MahAchArya ( DhoddAchArya of GaDikai dhivya dEsam ) and Panchamata Bhanjana Taata Desikan , who Himself was a sishyar of the HH the 6th pattam Ahobila Matam Jeeyar , Shashta ParAnkusa YathIndhra MahA Desikan . The Vaibhavam of Upanishad BhAshyakArar is covered in a 2002 posting of mine released during the occasion of release of the Commentary in English of Upanishad BhAshyakArar's original work in Sanskrit by U.Ve . Dr.N.S.AnantarangAcchAr Swamy of Bangalore . That 2002 posting's URL is provided below : http://www.ibiblio.org/sripedia/oppiliappan/archives/jun02/msg00040.html But for Upanishad BhAshyakArar's sampradhAyic commentary , we would have been at a loss to understand the uniqueness of Bhagavad RaamAnujA's ThiruvuLLam , when it came to the VisishtAdhvaidhic intrepretation of the meanings of Upanishads . On this important day , we prostrate before the prolific genius of Upanishad BHAshyakArar and HIs Kaimkaryam to the growth of our SampradhAyam in its pristine form .
