Guest guest
SrI : Dear Sriman VenkatEsa VinOd : Thank you for your mail below . I will attempt to provide an input on AzhwArs follows next on SampradhAyic dates for AzhwArs .They span from DhvApara Yugam to the present Kali Yugam . With the dates of Mudhal AzhwArs in DhvApara Yugam , the dates of MahA Bhaaratham war , RaamAyaNam gets pushed far back into antiquity . There are a variety of sources on Guru Parampara : (1) AzhwAr's own references in their dhivya Prabhandham about the Kings ( ThriunaRayUr , ParamEswara ViNNagara PaasurangaL), Para Mathams . PeriyAzhwAr refers to KonedumARan , the PaanDya King in Periya Thirumozhi Paasuramin PeriyAzhwAr Thirumozhi : 4.2.7. Refers to some Pallava Kings in his Thirumozhi . Thirumangai refers to PallavA king in his ParamEswara ViNNagara Paasurams (1128-1137) and about Sempian KochenkkOtcchOzhan in his ThiruNaRayUr Paasurams ( 1498-1507) . 2) Dhivya Soori Cahritham : Author , Garuda Vaahaana PanDithar in Sanskrit . He lived in Acharya RaamAnujA's time and wrote in Sanskrit . 3) PinpazhahArAm PerumAL Jeeyar , Sishyar of Swamy NampiLlai: AaRAyirappadi Guru parampararA PrabhAvam . 4) Swamy Desikan's Sri Sookthi in Desika Prabhandham 5) Swamy MaNavALa Maamuni's UpadEsa Rathna Maala . 6) The Three thousand Padi Guru ParamparA PrabhAvam of Brahma Tantra Svatantra Swamy III . 7) PrapannAmrutham of Sri AnanthAchArya Swamy (Sanskrit). 8) SrI AaNpiLLai KanthAdaiappan: Periya Thirumudi adaivu. 9)Koil Ozhuhu of Srirangam . This ays that KulasEkharar , the king of Chera, Cozha and Paandya dEsams gave his daughter's hand in marriage to Lord Ranganatha in the 50th year of Kali at Srirangam and Lord Ranganatha married ANDAL at Srivilliputthur on the 105th year of Kali Yugam . 10) The various Taniyans Vaazhi ThirunAmam of AchAryAs . 11) Mayilai Maadhava Daasan's NaalAyira Dhivya Prabhandham , Second Edition , 1950. It is thus a multitude of sources , which has to be cross correlated . It will take quite an effort by an assembly of scholars to determine the exact dates . Let us list the sampradhAyic dates aleaned from the above sources . It follows your original message .
