Guest guest
Sri: Dear Sri HayagrIva BhakthAs : adiyEn will start on this Aadi Maasa PiRappu Day to post a series of articles on the Vaibhavam of Lord HayagrIvan blessing us all from the top of Oushadha Giri at Thiruvaheendhrapuram . On this hill , Swamy Desikan gained Garuda Manthra Siddhi some seven hundred years ago , while meditating on the Garuda Manthram . Pakshi Raajan appeared before the young Swamy Desikan and blessed him with Sri HayagrIva Manthram and presented him with the sacred Moortham of Yoga HayagrIvan , who is still blessing us all even today at the dhivya dEsam of Thiruvaheendhrapuram . Swamy Desikan recited the Manthram of Lord Hayagrivan many times while sitting under an Aswattha tree and was bessed with the darsana SoubhAgyam of Lord HayagrIvan and the anugraham to be a ParamAchAryan of the Bhagavath RaamAnuja Darsanam . Rest is legendary . Sri HayagrIvan is the presiding deity of learning in Sri VaishNavam . Swamy Desikan performed AarAdhanam for Lord HayagrIvan every day of his life after Sri HayagrIva SaakshAthkAram on OushadhAdhri hills . For Swamy Desikan , Sri HayagrIvan is " the indweller of his heart , the soul of soul , the inner ruler immortal " . Swamy Desikan Lord HayagrIvan as the Divine light to lead him on his avathAra mission of driving away the hold of avaidhika and Kudhrushti mathams and to establish Sri VaishNavam as the Parama DhArnika , Vaidhika Matham . Swamy Desikan's first sthOthram , Sri Hayagriva SthOthram was composed spontaneously here in front of Lord HayagrIvan on the OushdhAdhri hills .It just flowed out of him due to the grace of Lord HayagrIvan . Let us enjoy the 108 NaamArchanais for the Lord of Oushadha Giri and seek His blessings for the successful conclusion of the Kaimkaryam for Him : Sri HayagrIva AshtOtthara Sthothram **************************************** SruNvathu Rushaya: sarvE HayasyAshDOttharam Satham HayagrIvO MahA VishNu ; KesavO Madhusoodhana : GOvindha: PuNDareekAkshO VishNur-VisvambharO Hari: Aadhithya: Sarva-vaagheesa : SarvAdhAra: SanAthana: NirAdhArO nirAkArO nireesO nirubhadhrava: niranjanO nishkalangO nithyathrupthO nirAmaya: ChidhAnandhamaya: sAkshee SaraNya: sarva-dhAyaka: SreemAn lOkathrayAdheesa: Siva: sArasvatha-pradha: VEdhOddharthA VEdanidhi: VEdavEdhya: prabhUtthama: PoorNa: PoorayithA PuNya: PuNyakeerthi: ParAthpara: ParamAthmA ParanjyOthi: ParEsa: Paaraga: Para: SarvavEdhAthmakO VidhvAn VEda-VEdantha-pAraga: sakalOpanishad-VEdhyO nishkala: sarva-sAsthra-kruth AkshamAlA-Jn~Ana-mudhrA-yuktha-hasthO varapradha: PurANa: Purusha-SrEshta: SaraNya: ParamEswara : SaanthO dhAnthO jithakrOdhO jithAmithrO Jaganmaya: Janma-mruthyu-harO jeevO jayadhO jADya-nAsana: Japa-priyO japasthuthyO jApaka-priyakruth-Prabhu: VimalO Viswaroopasccha ViswagOpthA Vidhisthutha: Vidheendhra-Siva-samstuthya: Saanthidha: KshAnthipAraga: SrEya: pradha: Sruthimaya: SrEyasAmpathireeswara: AchyuthOanantha roopasccha prANadha: PruTiveepathi: avyakthO vyaktharoopasccha sarva-sAkshee tamOhara: ajn~AnasaakO Jn~Ani PoorNachandhra-Sama-prabha: Jn~AnadhO Vaakpathir-yOgi Yogeesa : Sarva-kaamadha: MahA yOgee MahA Mounee Mouneesa: SrEyasAmpathi: Hamsa: Paramahamsasccha ViswagOpthA VirAD svarAD SuddhasPhaDika sankAsO JaDAmaNDala samyutha: AadhimadhyAntharahitha: sarvavAgheesvarEswara: nAmnAmashtOtthara Satham HayagrIvasya Ya: paDEth Vedha-VEdAng-VEdAntha SaasthrANAm pAraga: kavi: Vaachaspathy SamO BuddhyA sarva-vidhyA-visAradha: Mahaisvaryam aasAdhya KalathrANI cha PuthrakAn avApya sakalAn bhOgAn anthE Haripadham vrajEth ithi ParAsara PurANE Agasthya-Naaradha SamvAdhE , HayagrIva AshtOtthara Satha Naama sthOthram sampoorNam The NaamAs are easy to understand although they have deeper sAsthrEic connotations . The Phala Sruthi section states that thoose who recite the AshtOtthara Satha Naamam of Lord HayagrIvan will gain the intellectual acumen equivalent to Vaachaspathi ( Deva Guru) and will be the Master of all VidhyAs , accumulate riches , wife , suprajAs and enjoy all bhOgams in this world and at he end of stay in this universe will reach Sri aikuntam , the Supreme abode of Hari . May we recite this ashtOttharam and seek Lord Hayagrivan's blessings for Kaimkarya Poorthy . Daasan , Oppiliappan Koil V.Sadagopan P.S: Next , we will study some of His Sahasra Naamams .
