Dear Sri HayagrIva BhakthAs :

 

In the Sri Hayagriva Sahasra Naamams , we came across a lot of

BheejAksharams (Seed Utterances) . It is no accident or whimsical inclusion .

Sri HasyagrIvan has been recognized and saluted as "Manthra Maya Sareeran "

(Embodiment of ManthrAs .One can recognize that many of these

BheejAksharams came out of the anganyAsa / KaranyAsa section of

Sri Hayagriva Kavacham .

 

There are two HayagrIva Kavachams . The first one came from AtharvaNa Veda

Manthra KhaNDam Poorva Samhithai relating to Sri HayagrIva Manthram .

 

The second Kavacham is from a conversation between Lord Siva and

His consort , Parvathi.

The HayagrIva Kavacham is also known as HayagrIva Kavacha MahA Manthram .

The Rishi for this Manthram is Sri HayagrIvan . The Chandas (metre) for this Manthram

is Anushtup . Devathai for the Manthram is Sri HayagrIvan . The Bheejam for

the Manthram is " ( PraNavam) Sreem VaagheeswarAya nama: " . The Sakthi

for the Manthram is : " (PraNavam) Kleem VidhyAdharAya nama: " . The Keelakam

is : (PraNavam) Soumm VedanidhayE nama: ". The SamarpaNam for presenting

Havis (SvAhA ) is : " (PraNavam) namO HayagreevAya Sukla VarNaaya

VidhyAmoorthayE OmkAraayaachuthaaya BrahamavidhyApradhAya SvaahA .

nama HayagrIva prasAdha siddhyarTE japE viniyOga:

 

DhyAnam with Six lines begins thereafter :

 

KalaSAmBhudhi-sankAsam KamalAyatha lOchanam

kalAnidhi-kruthAvAsam karNikAnthara vaasinam

Jn~AnamudhrAkshavalaya sankhA-chakra lasathkaram

bhUshA-kiraNa sandhOha virAjitha digandharam

vakthrAbhja nirgathOddhAma-VaaNee santhAna -SObhitham

DevathA Saarvabhoumam tE dhyAyEdhi ashtArTa siddhayE

 

 

PraNavams like Sreem , Kleem , Soumm along with Moola PraNavam is found

in the above section of the HayagrIva Kavacham. In NaarAyaNa Kavacham and

Nrusimha Kavacham also have such BheejAksharams and the Manthrams of

the DEvathai (AshtAkshara and NrusimhAnushtup Manthrams) . The audio recital
