Dear Sadagopan Swamy,

Your translations and explanations are wonderful!

<When Lord Narasimhan engaged in destroying the Asuran ,

> HiraNyan , the fire of anger of the Lord rose sky high ; next ,

> it climbed upwards to the three lOkams above and spread beyond

> that to the Sathya lOkam , where BrahmA resides .>>>

Hiranya practiced all his evil thanks to the boons granted by

Brahma. Perhaps, Brahma too, like Hiranya, thought that he had a

" waterproof " case and that Hiranya was indestructible. It is

possible that Narasimha's Jwala rose all the way to Brahma's

Satya Loka to show Brahma that Narasimha could destroy Hiranya

in spite of Brahma's boons!

Nrusimha Poorva Taapani Upanishad says that Maha Vishnu first

came before Brahma as Narasimha and taught Brahma the Narasimha

Anushtup Mantra, with which Brahma created the universe. The

Jwala of Narasimha, reaching up to Satya Loka, perhaps wanted to

show Brahma that Narasimha's powers, which helped create the

universe, are also capable of destruction!

Malola Dasan,

Balaji Narasimhan
