Dearest all,

Let us continue to enjoy Thirumangai AzhwArs wonderful

verses on Thiruvenkatamudiayaan.

kalayaami kalidhvamsam kavim lOkadhivaakaram

yaSya kObi: prakaaSaabir aavidhyam niHatham thama:

I meditate on the Poet, who is like the Sun for the

whole world, to destroy the darkness of ignorance

(a~jnAnam) with his word and who destroys the Kali

dhOsham.

ThirumangaiAzhwAr proceeds to plead the Lord of

TirumalA for His unbounded limitless mercy that pours

out on His own -out of His Greatest compassion on us.

Let us enjoy this nice ten on AzhwAr's plea.

villaarmali vEngkadamaamalaimEya,

mallaarthiradOL maNivaNNanammaanai,

kallaarthiradOL kaliyansonnamaalai,

vallaaravar vaanavaraaguvarthaamE. 1.10.10

The Lord who shows Himself gracefully at TirumalA

where hunters roam around (in the dense forests of

ThiruvEmkatam)- the Lord of most strongest shoulders-

the Lord whose beauty is like Blue hued Emerald stone-

Emperumaan Srinivsan- about whom Kaliyan has sung and

blessed us with these garland of words (pAsurams) -

and those who read them (and / or these meanings) will

be blessed to perform Nithya Kaimkaryam (eternal

servitude) at Srivaikunatm, like Nithya sooris.

Villaar- the hunters with the strong bow; protecting

the mountain¡K like AdhisEshan [and Lakshmanan]

protecting Sriman Narayanan [Lord Rama in the forest];

Mallaar- The Lord of strongest shoulders (one who

saves these Bhaagawathas ¡V who in turn attempt to

protect Himļ

Kallaar- The stone like board shouldered Kaliyan ¡V

who sings pallaaandu for these Bhaagawathas and the

Lord of ThiruvEnkatam (thus being stronger than them

as he is singing in praise of them and sings pallaandu

for them]

Vallaar- Those who recite- these ten

Sri Periya Vacchaan Pillai says: artthatthOdu

anusandhikka vallar- Those who are able to enjoy

singing these verses contemplating their deep esoteric

meanings in them;

They would be equal to Nithyasooris- means: They would

perform the kaimkaryam with as much zeal and enjoyment

as they do in Srivaikuntam.

It is more enjoyable to perform such a kaimkaryam on

this earth rather than SrivaikuNtam as there are more

avenues for getting distracted here; and not in

Srivaikuntam. Then, they will attain Srivaikuntam at

the end of their lives¡K after performing eternal

kaimkaryam here for Srinivasan.
