SrImathE Gopaladesika mahadesikaya namah:

Dearest all,

Let us continue to enjoy AzhwArs wonderful verses on

Thiruvenkatamudiayaan. Now after Thirumangai AzhwAr

anubhavam, we have reached the Chief among AzhwArs-

the Only AzhwAr who is also in Acharya paramparai of

Srivaishnavam- namely NammAzhwAr.

let us enjoy His divinely majestic and most wonderful

Thiruvaymozhi verses.

Before that, let us contemplate on NammAzhwAr [sri

SatakOpamuni’s] divine lotus feet

BhakthAmrutham viswa janAnumodhanam

sarvArthatham Sri Satakopa Vaangmayam

sahasra SaakOpanishadh samAgamam

namAmyaham Draavida Vedha Saagaram

Meaning ): adiyEn salutes the ocean of Tamizh Vedam ,

which is of the form of Sri SaThakOpan's vaak

(speech/aruLiccheyalkaL). These are linked to the

thousand upanishads and includes in them all the deep

meanings (Taathparyams)of Tatthva-Hitha-PurushArthams

and artha Panchakam. They are nectar to the minds of

the devotees of Sriman NaarAyaNan and they enjoy it

with relish as aparyAthAmrutham [insatiable amirtham].

Today’s ThiruvEnkatam verse is: Thiruvaaymozhi 2.6.10

10.the Past- the Present and the Future- at all times,

You have been my mother, my father, my Jeevan (life);

I have reached You; I WILL NEVER EVER LEAVE YOU; You

are the Chief of all worlds; the Primordial Chief!

ParamanE! EmperumaanE! The One who resides at Cool

ThiruvEnkata mountain; the One who wears the most

fragrant thuLasi maalai; HEREAFTER, I WILL NOT LEAVE

YOU.

Sway Desikan in Dramidopanishad taatparya RathnaavaLi

says [for this 2.6 decad] that: AzhwAr tells that

there is no question of his leaving Him since (a) He

has fixed His attention on His asrithars only; He

cares for them [asrithars] and grants them pleasurable

experiences about Him; [c] He radiates with His

brilliance [d] He has eliminated all our sins’ [e] He

has accepted even AzhwAr’s relatives [f] He allows

deliberately a doubt in us that He may leave us’ [g]

He helps in all possible ways like our parents; and

finally He Himself entertains an element that we may

also leave Him…

Should the Lord at all ask that even if I don’t leave

you, will you keep our unison intact? AzhwAr replies

that once we have accepted You as our only relation is

all aspects; where is the question of giving up our

daasyam, to You who has made Venkataadri as Home?
