BhakthAmrutham viswa janAnumodhanam

sarvArthatham Sri Satakopa Vaangmayam

sahasra SaakOpanishadh samAgamam

namAmyaham Draavida Vedha Saagaram

 

Meaning ): adiyEn salutes the ocean of Tamizh Vedam ,

which is of the form of Sri SaThakOpan's vaak

(speech/aruLiccheyalkaL). These are linked to the

thousand upanishads and includes in them all the deep

meanings (Taathparyams)of Tatthva-Hitha-PurushArthams

and artha Panchakam. They are nectar to the minds of

the devotees of Sriman NaarAyaNan and they enjoy it

with relish as aparyAthAmrutham [insatiable amirtham].

Oyu mooppup piRappiRap puppiNi,

veeyu maaRusey vaan_thiru vEngadath

thaayan, naaNmala raamadith thaamarai,

vaayuL Lummanath thuLLumvaip paargatkE. 3.3.9

 

9. ThiruvEnkata Nathan, KaNNan, is the One who can

cure all OUR diseases; Just think of His Most

Beautiful Lotus Feet in your mind and utter praises

about Them with your mouth; He will save us from all

Births and Deaths and protect us;

 

One should always utter the most beautiful

sowkumAryamaana ThiruvaDi of KaNNan- the Lord of

ThiruvEnkatam- [the Lotus feet that are like freshly

bloomed flowers] and meditate on His Lotus Feet in the

minds. When one does so always, the old age, death,

[future] births, etc will all go away. Meaning: there

will be no further such occurrences – nacha

punaraavarttathE; nacha punaraavartthathE…

 

Oyum- will taper off and disappear. Implies that

before that they were all torturing us earlier. piNi

veeyumaaRu seyvaan. He will destroy the diseases.

Oyum mooppu; piRappu, iRappu piNi veeyumaaRu seyvaan;

Old age will slowly go off; [old age suffering will be

almost nil]The karmic diseases will be crushed.

 

vaayuL vaippathu- ovaadhu uraippadhu -manatthuL

vaippaathu Uttering and retention of His divine names

in one’s mouth and contemplating in our minds thinking

of His most beautiful freshly bloomed divine Lotus

Feet of KaNNan- ThiruvEnkatamudaiyaan. If one does so

with manas, vaak [mind and speech] always all

prathibandhakam will go off for him and be blessed

with mOksham.
