Let us continue to enjoy AzhwArs wonderful verses on

Thiruvenkatamudiayaan.

 

Today’s ThiruvEnkatam verse is: NammAzhwAr’s

Thiruvaaymozhi 6.6.11

 

kattezhil sOlainNal vEngada vaaNanai,

kattezhil then_kuru koorchchada gOpansol,

kattezhil aayirath thippaththum vallavar,

kattezhil vaanavar pOgamuN paarE. 6.6.11

 

AzhwAr's last decad [TVM 6.5] was from the friend of

ParangusanAyaki and the friend, too agreeing to the

condition of status of ParangusanAyaki. This set of

ten is from the mother of ParangusanAyaki, who is

deeply concerned, worried and cries seeing her

daughter suffering and languishing for Emperumaan. She

sees her darling daughter getting pale, thin, loosing

her weight, loosing her hair, etc., due to her being

separated from Emperumaan and languishing. It is the

worried mother's words on her darling daughter's

sufferings.

 

Emperumaan has got the Most Fragrant garland on His

long haired head. He had fought with Mushtikan and

chANUran and killed with His valour and strength of

His shoulders. He is inside all beings and non-beings

as the in-dweller (antharyaami). But still, He never

gets bound by the karmAs of those beings. For that

wonderful, mysterious Lord, the Most respected One, My

daughter has lost her respect. (by falling in love

with Him)

 

(Here Swami NampiLLai says: AzhwAr, [in this decad]

through the mother of ParankusanAyaki, explains the

Parathvam, Archai, Antharyaami roopam and mentions

that He is the Only One to save us!)

 

Meaning of today’s verse 11th in this ten- 6.6: About

Emperumaan, Sri VenkatEsa, who is standing gracefully

and at ThiruvEnkatam, the place surrounded by most

beautiful, most fragrant gardens, Kuruhoor SatakOpar

has sung in praise of Him. Out of those 1000, readers

of these ten will get mahAnubhavam of Nitya sUris.

 

The summary of this ten: The mother looks at the

pitiable state when her daughter cries: MaNivaNNaavO….

being bewitched by the Lord’s beauty and His

innumerous kalyANa guNAs, his Asritha vaathsalyathvam,

His wonderful divine leelAs, His resplendence similar

to the most beautiful dark clouds, His divinely

beautiful dhivya mangaLa vigrahams at dhivya Desams.

My daughter lost her physical beauty thinking and

languishing of Him- she says. She has lost her

physical charm after falling for His beauty resulting

from his adornments and thuLasi maala and from His

divine avathArams. My daughter lost her greatness

falling for His beautiful lips, his hand holding that

divine chakra. She lost her shyness falling for His

compassion towards His devotees as seen by her in

Krishna towards PaaNdavas. She lost her “jnana”

[senses] falling for His generosity in giving Vedas to

chathurmukha brahmA and for the Beauty of Great Huge

Boar’s dhivya mangaLa vigraha after lifting bhUdEvi.

She lost her beauty falling for His long beautiful

limbs when he united with Sridevi during paaRkadal

churning. Those knowing this decad describing the

kalyANa guNas flowing from the leelas of Venkatesa

will be able to enjoy the wealth of Nithyasuris

[namely Paramapadham itself] [as per PiLLan’s

aaraayirapaadi]
