Dear Swamin, This week there two important events are going to take place. Both are passed with unnoticed every year. One is in Madhurantakam Kshetram and another one is in Toopul.

The first one is is Sri Bhashyakarar Samasrayana Utsavam on Avani Panchami. That is on Monday next day to Ganesh Chthurthi. This Bhashyakarar Pancha samskara utsavam is very important to Madhurantakam kshetram. Every Avani sukla paksha panchami Bhashyakarar goes to the lake where he was performed Panchasamskara. Now that place is called Sri Bhashyakarar Padithurai. please visit http://www.pbase.com/svami/ramanuja_and_periya_nambi to view the places and Bhashyakarar with his guru Periya Nambigal. The Tirumanjanam will be performed to Sri Krishnan (the little one that the Archakar Sri.Rangaraja Bhattar carries) Periya nambigal and Bhashyakarar. Then Bhashyakarar mangalasasanam in all the sannidhis. Then along with Karunakar perumal, chinna kannan and Periyanambigal the Sudarsana and Panchajanyam will be brought to the mandapam (pl. view the picture) and Sri Ramanuja will be performed the Panchasamskara Utsavam. The Prasadam in this Utsavam is only the Tiruman and Srichoorna. This festival is attended by all Vaidikas in local and all Bhagavatas who have been performed Samasrayanam by various Acharyas. Adiyen request all of you to note this function and attend this.

The second one is the composition of Swami Desikan's Taniyan "Ramanuja Daya Pathram" at Sri. Toopul. Sri. Brahma Tantra Parakala Swami, the first peethadhipati of Sri Parakala muth was the deciple of Swami Desikan. Sri Parakala Swami composed this thanian and submitted to Swami Desikan on Avani Hastham. This is celebrated every year at Toopul with great respect. Please note and attend this function.

Avani Hastham is also the Tirunakshatram of Abhinava Kaliyan, another Tirumangai Alwar, Kaliyuga Karnan, Sri. Mukkur Azhagiya singer, the great devottee of Sri Ranganatha and Sri.Lakshmi Nrsimhan, who constructed the greattttttttttttttt tower to Ranganatha at his old age. Those who are fortunate please attend this function.

Attending such occassions makes us pure and makes our birth and soul pure and free from all kinds of troubles and sins. We will get the darsanam of good souls and scholars. Let everyone chant once again:

RAMANUJA DAYA PAATRAM JNAANA VAIRAGYA BHUSHANAM !

SRIMAD VENKATA NATHAARYAM VANDE VEDANTA DESIKAM !!
