Dear All:

 

Srimad Azhagiyasingar’s Sathabhisheka Mahotsavam will be held this year on

Thursday November 30th at Srirangam, Tamil Nadu. This being the 80th

Thirunakshathram, it is a very special event. We hope that all of you can

attend the function and get the blessings of His Holiness Srimad

Azhagiyasingar on this very auspicious day. We will communicate further

details about the 10 day program when they are finalized in the coming

months. In the meantime, you can review the fund raising pamphlet produced

by the Sathabhisheka Committee by visiting the web site of Ahobilamutt.org

or Sundarasimham.org.

 

As you know, Sri Matam will be incurring a lot of expenses for this function

with a record number of invited veda/prabhanda goshti of around 400 in

attendance. We hope to help offset some of the expenses from contributions

from overseas sishyas. This being the 80th Thirunakshathram function, we

have increased our fund raising goal to Rs. 1 crore (Approximately $225,000)

from overseas sishyas.

 

We are requesting that you try and contribute the maximum amount you can to

this once in a life time cause. We know that many of you have already

contributed to the Chathurmasya Sankalpam and other kainkaryams this year.

But, we all need to find the resources to contribute to this cause and show

our appreciation to our beloved Acharyan. However much we contribute is very

small compared to what our Acharyan has done for us and continues to do for

us. So, please dig deep and contribute to this important cause. All

contributors will be sent Phala ManthrAkshathais from Srimad Azhagiyasingar

after the Sathabhisheka Mahotsavam function.

 

Please expect a continuous stream of emails from us over the next couple of

months updating everyone about the plans for the Mahotsavam.
