Book in the Ahobilavalli Series : Sri VaasanthikA PariNayam

This is a Natakam in Sanskrit and PrAkrutham . The author

is the MalOla PadhukA Sevakar , the 7th Pattam Srimath

Azhagiya Singar of Sri Matam established by Ahobila

Narasimhan Himself in the year 1339 CE.

 

The 7th Pattam Azhagiya Singar had the ThirunAmam of

Sri VaNN SaThakOpa Sri SaThakOpa YathIndhra Mahaa

Desikan and ruled as PeetAdhipathy of Sri matam from

Feb 1513 to April 1522( 9 Years and 2 Months). He was

a great grantha nirmAthA and blessed us with Sri Vaasanthika

PariNayam , a drama about the marriage of Ahobila Narasimhan

with Chenchu Lakshmi , the daughter of Hunter king of

Ahobilam . Chenchu Lakshmi , who is worshipped today

at Ahobilam with Lord Narasimhan is an avathAram of

MahA Lakshmi .

 

HH the 7th Pattam Azhagiya Singar was selected by

SriVaNN SathakOpa Sri Shashta ParAnkusa YathIndhrar , the 6th Pattam

Azhagiya Singar , who entered a cave in Ahobila KshEthram on Feb 1513

and is said to be a chiranjeevi performing AarAdhanam there for

Sri Lakshmin Nrusimhan.

 

The original Text in Sanskrit and PrArutham was translated

beautifully by Sriman ParthasArathy Desikan Swamy of

Chennai . We are thankful to him . SrimAn MuraLI DesikAchAri,

Srimathy Jayashree DesikAchAri , Srimans Mukund of Nedumtheru

AgrahAram and MannArgudi Srinivasan Narayanan helped

immensely to bring out this e-book . My Sincere thanks are to

them .
