Guest guest
Sri Lakshmi Nrisimha,Sri Lakshmi Narayana, Sri Lakshmi Hayagreeve Temple,of Sri Ahobila Mutt, Chembur, Mumbai ,the 2007 is a Golden Year. We started the year with the Vijaya Yatra of Srimad Azagiyasingar during Feb 2007 inspite the Acharyan came with slings for His fractured hand.He was determined to be present for Samprokshanam of newly built Thayar Mahalakshmi sannidhi held in Feb.During the Samprokshanam, Gold kavachavams made for Sri Prahaladan and His concerts was adorned by Lord and it was an unforgettable Sevai ,thousands enjoyed that day. The temple also started " Sri Sookthi Homam " for Thayar and it is now held monthly. A ten day utsavam was held for Sri Andal Thiruvadipooram that concluded on 15 Aug 2007. On concluding day, Sri Andal and Sri Prahaladavaradan wore the newly made Gold Parrot (later worned by Sri Chenchi Lakshmi Thayar for daily sevai ) made with contributions from sevarthis. On this day ,Sri Ramani,President announced that Peumal and Thayar sannidhi doors, now in wood will have them in Gold. This is another unique kainkaryam that both Thayar and Perumal Sannidhi will have " Gold Door " and may be it is for the first time that a Temple has one such for both the sannidhis.Sri Ramani announced the work will commence on 19 Aug 2007.The project starts with 12 Gms of gold donated by Temple Kainkaryaparakars. The doors require 4.2 KG of gold and devotees have already contributed 2700 Gms.The door will use 100 Kg of copper,5 kg of Silver. Now about 1 Kg 400 gms gold is now needed to complete the project. The entire cost of these Glold Doors is 45 to 50 Lacs and will be ready by Vijayadasami Day.To cap all these ,we will also have golden moments when Srimad Azagiyasingar makes His Vijaya Yatra in November 2007 to this Temple and rarely it happens He visits a temple twice in a year.Devotees desires of getting involved may contribute in kind/ cash at the Temple office at Sri Ahobila Mutt,Chembur,Mumbai 400 071 ( ph; 022 2528 7183 ).
