Sri Desika Sampradaya Sabha,Mumbai have announced a detailed programme

to observe the Avathara Dinothsavam of Swami Desikan.As in earlier

years ,the utsavam will be a grand one befitting the Acharyan.This is an

annual festival of the Sabha with emphasis on His

works,philosophy,teachings and spread these values among the younger

generation. The Utsavam is spread over 10 days starting from 14 Sep 2007

at the Sabha premises.Every day, from 3.30 PM recitation of Veda, Divya

Prabhandham will take place and Seva kalam for the day will conclude

with Thiruvaradhanam, Satrumurai and Goshti by around 8.30 PM.On 22 Sep

2007 there will be traditional visit of Sri Prahaladavaradan with His

concetrs as well Swami Desikan from Sri Ahobila Mutt Temple, Chembur,

Mumbai. The Lord arrives at the Sabha 8 AM and will be with Desika

devotees till 4 PM.There will be special Seva kalam,

Thiruvaradhanam,Thirumanjanam on this day,22 Sep 2007.The function will

conclude with Thathiaradhanam to sevarthis and the Lord departs to Sri

Ahobila Mutt, Chembur. On the day of Swami Desikan's Thirunakshatram,

23 Sep 2007 ,Seva kalam Vedaparayanam commences at 2 PM. The day's

functin will conclude with Swami Desikan Purappadu, Peria Satrumurai ,

Perumal ,Achaya Sambhavanai and Gosti by 7.30 PM. From the

Thirunakshatram day , 10 day Upanyasam by Sri U.Ve. Osapakkam

Devanathachariar Swamy will commence starting with " Swami's Avathara

Rahasyam " ( 7.30 PM to 8.30 PM. and other days from 7 PM. ).This is

an festival and to celebrate the Utasavam in a befitting manner to our

desika sampradayam, the Sri Desika Sampradaya Sabha requests

bhagavatha's to contribute Rs. 10000 to the corpus of Annual Utsavam

of Swami Desikan. I request the payment may be sent to Sabha's address
