SRI AHOBILA MUTT, CHEMBUR: SWAMI DESIKAN UTSAVAM

Sri Ahobila Mutt, Chembur held Swami Desikan Thirunakshtra Vaibhavam from 19 Sep to 23 Sep 2007.During the utsavam there was a daily rendering of ' Desika Prabhandam', 'Sthotrams' and usual Srimadam pasurams.As usual the Azwar and Andal Goshti of Mumbai rendered the pasurams and sthotrams in an authentic fashion. On the suggetion of kainkaryaparakars of this temple a Mutimedia presentation on the life and His great contribution to our Sampradayam of Swami Desikan was made.As Swami Desikan was doing mangalasasanam of Divya Desams ,the corresponding slide showing the temple and Perumal and Thayar of the shetram was shown. Chitra Desikiyam produced by Thoopul trust was also shown. We are greatful to Srimad Azaghiyasingar in giving permission for this event. The presentation was prepared by Sri.Kannan of Sri Prahaladavaradan Sripadam Thangikal Sabha. On 23rd Sep the function was held in the morning and a very large devotees attended and got blessings of Swami Desikan and Presiding deities of the temple. .The photos taken by me on the occasion is now uploaded at www.imagestation.com/members/ramaswamy03 as a seperate album.
