Guest guest
One who Grants Parai (Moksham) Known as Mukundan, Sriyapathi is always eager to have all of us in His abode. Would it be possible for us to get to that state of moksha once He immediately grants that, or rather logically after surrendering completely to Him. This question is well answered by Parankusan, also known as VazhuthinAdan in his thiruvaymozhi pasuram on Sowrirajan (9.10). Here is his beautiful pasuram, charaNamaa kumthana thaaLatainN thaarkkelaam, maraNamaa NnaalvaikunN thamkotuk kumpiraan, araNamainN thamathiL choozthiruk kaNNapuram, tharaNiyaa Lan,thana thanbarkkan paagumE Once we surrender totally to Him, Sowrirajan will grant Moksham only at the time when we leave the body in this birth. Azhwar happily sings about the mathil (wall) of this beautiful temple. This anubhavam can be referred to the first pasuram in the same pathikam, maalainNaN Niththozu thezuminO vinaiketa, kaalaimaa laikama lamalar ittunNeer,vElaimO thummathiL choozthiruk kaNNapuraththu, aalinmE laalamarnN thaanadi yiNaigaLE Azhwar asks all of us to worship Sowrirajan, whose abode on this earth is completely surrounded by walls that are hit heavily by sea waves. He further continues to request all of us to offer flowers at His lotus feet in the mornings and evenings. Here is another one in the jewel, aNiyanaa kumthana thaaLatainN thaarkkelaam,piNiyum chaaraa piRavi ketuththaaLum,maNiponEynN thamathiL choozthiruk kaNNapuram paNimin,nNaa Lumpara mEttithan paadhamE. Azhwar reiterates the fact that when we surrender to Him, He will stay close to us. He is the one, who is again surrounded by ramparts of gold and emerald. illaiyal lalenak kElini yen_guRai?,allimaa tharama rumthiru maarbinan, kallilEynN thamathiL choozthiruk kaNNapuram cholla,nNaa Lumthuyar paatuchaa rave Nammazhwar, who heads the prapannar jAthi, makes our task little easier by asking all of us to just recite the name of Divya Desam, Thirukkannapuram and sing these ten pasurams. This is more than enough to get rid of the allal (suffering, which is the cycle of samsara). The inseparable and most significant relationship with Sri is beautifully referred to by Azhwar when singing this phala sruti pasuram. AllimAdhar amarum is the most important aspect that fetches moksham to all the souls caught in samsara. Let us bring back the anubhavam of Andal in referring ThiruVenkadam as forest and Thirukkannapuram as nagar. Both these Perumals are elephants in our sampradayam. With this combined anubhavam of Azhwar Goshti let us refer back to Nammazhwar and conclude the series with the following, agala killEn iRaiyum'en RalarmEl mangai yuRaimaar_paa,nigaril pugazhaay! ulagamoon Rudaiyaay! ennai aaLvaanE,nigaril amarar munikkaNangaL virumpum thiruvENG kadaththaanE,pugalon Rillaa adiyEnun adikkee zhamarndhu pugundhEnE Please pardon any mistakes in the series of postings on Thiukkannapuram, aDiyEn, ramanan
