This morning adiyEn enjoyed the viewing of the compelete

video of the above MohOthsavam of Muthangi SamarpaNam to

the dhivya Dampathis of SrivilliputthUr . This is a VCD/DVD

that takes 45 minutes to see .

 

adiyEn can only say that this is a blessed day

after seeing this extraordinary video taken

with the permission of temple authorities and by

a Professional video photographer from SrivilliputthUr .

 

One's eyes fill with tears on seeing the SampradhAyic Nava Kalasa

Thirumanjanam for the dhivya dampathis as PoorvAngam (preliminary )

to Mutthangi SamarpaNam to Them . Arayar is in attendance

along with Veda ViNNappam seyvOrkaL.

 

This video takes us from the entrance to NaacchiyAr ThirumALigai

and onto SuRRu PrAkAram , where the paintings of the 108 dhivya dEsa

PerumALs and ThAyArs adorn the wall . One has the VimAna Sevai

and the capture of the rare sculptures of the temple going back to

1200 plus years , when the temple was built by the Paandya Kings

with the gold sulkam won by PeriyAzhwAr .

 

After the PradhhakshiNam , we arrive at the Thirumanjana Mantapam

to enjoy the sampradhAyic Nava Kalas Thirumanjanam described

in an earlier posting . The Thirumanjanam started with VaasudEva

PunyAvachanam and proceeded thru Kumbha archanai , Aavahanam of

PerumAL and ThAyaar and other steps described in adiyEn's

earlier posting . It is a most memorable experience to enjoy this

Nava Kalasa Thirumanjanam done by the competent ArchakAs

without manthra or KriyA lobham (Short cuts/lapses ) . After Thirumanjanam ,

the video covers the Mutthanmgi SamarpaNam , adiyEn's

Thiruvaalavatta Kaimkaryam to ThAyAr & PerumAL , AshTothtara

Archanai for ANDAL , Theertham , SaThAri and Koil MaryAdhai

adiyEn is debating about raising some funds for yet another

Major Kaimkaryam in 2006 ( Kempu Gem Kireetam for Lord SrinivAsan

(Uthsavar ) of Thirumalai and His Ubhaya NaacchiyArs .

 

adiyEn had the niyamanam for this Kaimkaryam on the day of

the visit to Thirumalai during the Peddha Jeeyar SaaRRumuRai

GhOshti participation . adiyEn invites all Sri ThiruvengadamudayAN's

BhakthAs to join in the Kaimakryam and let me know about

their interests and level of participation thru pledges .

 

The design has been competed now at KumbakONam

and with the availability of funds , we can start the Kaimkaryam .

 

As adiyEn mentioned in an earlier mail dealing with my visit

to ThiruvEngadamudayAn Sannidhi , the cost breakdown is

as follows :

 

1. 850 Kempu gems : ~ Rs . 80,000 ( ~ $1,775 at the rate of Rs.45 to a Dollar ).

 

2. Labor for construction of the three crowns : Rs. 38,000( ~850US $) .

 

Items 1 & 2 add up to ~2,600 plus US Dollars .

 

3. Gold needed : 1500 Grams plus 10% Umisu (150 grams) : Total of 1650 Grams

Gold is the most expensive item in this kaimakryam ; none of ThiruvengadamudayAn's

aabharaNams are made in metals other than Gold . Silver base wont do. Hence we have

to stay with Gold for the base . Gold price today is Rs.600 per gram .

 

Pledges of $1,000 form 25 AasthikAs or $500 from

50 ThiruvengadamudayAn's bhkthAs or $250 from

100 devotees will cover the anticipated expenses .

 

Please let adiyEn know of your interests in participating

in this Kaimakaryam . AdiyEn needs only pledges

for this 2006 Major Kaimakaryam to see if we can

have the three Kempu Kireetams ready by middle of

2006 at the latest .adiyEn can work on the ways to

transmit these funds to India on a Tax deductible

basis .

 

This Kempu Kireetam is a set of three Kireetams

for Malayappa Swamy and His Ubhaya NaacchiyArs

to be readied for the BrahmOthsavam and other Uthsavams

for the year 2006 . The other two Kireetams are to be set in

Sapphire and Emerald semi precious gems .

 

We have been assigned the Kempu (Dark Ruby)

Kireetam .
