Guest guest
Dear Sir, Generally " social observation of celestial events " are adjusted to suit local climatic and environmental conditions, so as to make the observations practical. So in my humble opinion, one does not have to worry about cross verification and comparison of ephemeris. Rahu Kalam - Yama Kandam RH_YK Observing period = Divide (SunSet-Sun Rise) / 8 RH_YK Offset = (Normal_RH_YK - 6:00 A.M.) / 90 min RH_YK begining = Sun Rise Time + (RH_YK * RH_YK Offset) So for places where duration of day is reduced, the RH and YK will be observed for lesser duration. dasan Lak Sri > Sun, 8 Dec 2002 12:41:47 +0530 > " Y Subramanian Ramaswamy " <ramaswamy > Re: Digest Number 59 > > whether Amavasya has to be observed based on vakhya thithi or as per > mathematical ephimeris i..e thirukanitha panchangam (Vasan type) > > Pls clarify? > > Also pls inform how to make local corrections in stars as well as in > rahukalam and yamagandam?? > > Regards > Ramaswamy
