Dear Sir,

 

Generally " social observation of celestial events " are adjusted to

suit local climatic and environmental conditions, so as to make the

observations practical. So in my humble opinion, one does not have to

worry about cross verification and comparison of ephemeris.

 

Rahu Kalam - Yama Kandam

 

RH_YK Observing period = Divide (SunSet-Sun Rise) / 8

RH_YK Offset = (Normal_RH_YK - 6:00 A.M.) / 90 min

RH_YK begining = Sun Rise Time + (RH_YK * RH_YK Offset)

 

So for places where duration of day is reduced, the RH and YK will be

observed for lesser duration.
