Guest guest
**** A Question from one of our member *************** Dear sir, Thank you for posting the procedure for doing sandhyavandanam. Is it ok that i do sandhyavandanam at any time during the day.The reason i`m asking this is because some time work at very od times including Night. We are supposed to do it three times in a Day Morning, Afternoon and Evening,so can i select any one time to start with and do it? Also can you explain how properly to do `Sashtaanga Namskaram' I`m a vadakalai Iyangar, and how do Tenkalai Iyangars do it ? Kindly enlighten me, Pranams, Ramesh Varadharajan ************* Reply from Organizer ************* About timings: Do not worry about the timing if you are not able to do it in the correct time. But, actually the perfect timings only will give more physical benifit practically. So, try to keep the timings if possible. But missing timing is better than missing " Sandhya Vandhanam " . This is my concept. About Namskaram: No difference in doing " Saashtaanga namskaaram " for " Thenkalai and Vadakalai " but the count differs. Then Kalai one time, Vadakalai 4 or two times. " Muzhangai, Netri, Mookku, Maarbhu, Muzhankaal, Paadam " Theese six angams should touch the floor which is called " Saashtaanga Namaskaaram " . ******** send your questions *************************** Organizer
