Performing of Chradham on 'Ekadasi' is not restricted by 'Sastram'. Guest guest
SrI Anantha Balaji : I will send you an anugraha BhAshaNam from HH Sri Ranga Priya Swami on why we perform SrAddhams and the significance of such performance even by a Prapannan for a Muktha Jeevan . The meanings for the mantrams might have been covered by Sriman Vaasu VadhyAr Swamy . They are also available at West Mambalam ( Station Road) Book store . NamO Sri NrisimhAya, V.Sadagopan - Anantha Balaji vaideekam Moderator Monday, June 29, 2009 12:53 AM Shraddham Namaskaram, I would like to know where I can find the information regarding Shraddham / Tharpanam. In which purana / itihasa this has been explained. As I am due to perform the same for my father in about a month for the first time, I would like to do it with devotion and sincerity. If possible, also please guide me in various dhanas that are to be performed. for the first year shraddham. Also, where can I find the mantras for the same and the meaning. How is this different between the followers of the four vedas, the Tamil and Telugu speaking people, between Brahmanas and others. Please help me in performing this ritual perfectly and correctly.
