My name is Srinivasan and I am anew member in this group. I am now in US and

find that the discussioons by the group very useful and interewting. I have a

request to the moderator.

 

Important events are being given as alert in the messages. It would be useful if

important event's timing in US is also sent as messages. For example amavasai,

ekadasi , upakarma date , gayatri japam date along with sankalpam dates are

given it will be very useful.

You had given a good suggestion, but here we reside in India may commit mistakes

when converting it to US timings. I hope it can be done by enthusiastic persons

like you who are residing in US.

Because, the calendar area is open for all even for non members, you can

directly go into that area, check the previous reminder postings which are

waiting for delivery, you can edit it and add few lines with the timings in USA.

 

I thought, If we give the indian times, the member who resides in various

placess of the world may have the sense of time conversion to his native. And

also it will be very easy, rather than specifying the list of different timings

for different countries!

 

Please do not take it in a wrong sense.

I had expressed only the facts and practical problems. Really, I feel very

difficult to enter the events reminder than all other works which I am doing for

this group. Because, I have to check sevaral different panjangams and magazines

from various relegious institutions about the date and time conclution for a

particular event.
