Guest guest
Respected swamin and other Members, I vote for No.1 - My rationale for voting No.1 is that 01. Though it may not be practically possible for all the persons at all times to follow the dharma- sastram and its stipulations, basically it is required of one to know what is said in Dharma sastrams. It does not mean that 'know it' but do not follow it. It is certainly not that. But, once you have a knowledge of it - particularly at the present juncture, even getting to know the Dharma sastram is itself a difficult task - then try to follow as fully as possible. It is possible - but with some additional efforts, it should be made possible. Moreover, some of the stipulations , if one is not able to follow now, atleast, he can follow the same from the next opportunity - say next month, or next year or so. Therefore, it is a great opportunity for all to know the basics of dharma sastram. With pranams, Have a Good Day Nandakumar, C.R. crnkumar tel: mobile: 04362-230676 94434-06650 ***Adiyen, Everything is correct but I wish to remember one more thing. Doing against " Sastram " without knowing sastram will bring an amount of " Paapham " which we everybody know. But, the same after knowing sastram will bring 10 or more times of 'Phabham'. Also there is a 'Pariharam' said for almost all phapams. Those pariharams are very simple for the person who did it without knowing sastram, and it is hard for the person who did it even after knwing sastram. This is my (our) big worry to distribute sastram. Also, almost in all places the sastram will speek about 'varnams' without hesitation which will be very difficult to digest in ths secular society. I slightly indicated the dis advantages ... still you can change your views. But I am ready to post it, if majority of the members accepts. One more difficulty is there, I have only copies written in Tamil, to k eep the originality of the words of sastram I can given it only in Tamil. I hope there will be no trouble to read Tamil in our website ?! Also a Sanskrit font I recently developed for this purpose to give the 'Moola' slokas in sanskrit itself. As a person who can realise the dis advantages of knowing sastram My vote is for the 2nd Option - Do not post it. Vasu Vadhyar
