Guest guest
Namaskaram, Mama, could you please explain the significance of wearing Pavithram during Vaidheeka Karmas. Also the dharbhai (i think 2 or more) to be kept along with the pavithram. Kindly also mention the mantram by reciting which we have to wear the pavithram. Is it necessary that we should use the pavithram in our nithya anushtaan also, like Sandhya Vandhanam. Please explain everything in detail. Thank you Mama. Sairam ***Adiyen, No need to tell any manthram when wearing the pavithram. " Dhabeshu aaseena: Dharbhanu dharayamaana: pavithra paani: " The above slokam is said same in all suthrams. It means: Sit in dharbham, wear a pavithram made by dharbham and keep some dharbhams before starting a vaideeka karma. In sastram or suthrams there is no much explanation about the purpose of things instructed to use. We have to guess that there might be some reason for it. Our 'periyaval' said, dharbham is having the (sound) grasping capacity than all other things available in the world. Manthrams are mostly depends on the 'Swarams'(sounds). So when we invite (aavahanam) the devathas in the dharbham it will be very easy to conduct the manthram to that devatha through dharbham I think. Wearing dharbham is better than not wearing in any circumstance. Practically it will be very difficult to do the first part of sandhya vandhanam with pavithram. If have good practice it aslo may be possible only. Vasu Vadhyar
