Guest guest
Dear Deevalur Swami, namaskaram What is 'Dharbha Sankraham'? adiyen Keshava ***Adiyen, (I hope no member will askk what you mean dharbham? Ans: 'Dharbham' is nothing but a type of grass which is used to make pavithram to wear during vaideeka karmas. Due to its shape and tendency to allow to bend or twist without breaking, it might have been used. But Dharbham is indicated in Vedham itself.) In Madras City we (including myself) are getting " Dharbham " from some persons who are bringing it from villages in huge volume to our house, we will buy it. But actually dharbham should be picked (taken out) from the bhoomi only on any Amavasai day with which we can perform the vaideeka karmas for the whole month (with that dharbham). If we want to store the Dharbham for one complete year it should be picked only on " Avani Amavasai " . So, in panchangams to remind that day is mentioned as " Dharbha Samkraham " . VAsu VAdhyAr. So, here after the reminders will be sent with dates in the text itself without depending on the calendar of . Also I wish to change the type of reminder from reminding each event to all events for one week. i.e : the reminder will be sent with 15 days events in two portions as current events in the first para, and the forth comming week events in the second para. It will be posted on every Sunday. Sorry for the inconvenience.
